Hi Pat,
First, I’m sorry to hear you were down for a time. How are your firewall settings configured? That would determine how Wordfence throttles traffic from IP addresses that break a rule.

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] MultisiteHi Chris,
Yes, Wordfence should work fine. WPMU has reviewed and recommended Wordfence. You can do a search at their site.
Thanks,
BrianHi,
The best place to start is with this document. It walks you through our suggested method of cleaning a site with Wordfence.

BrianHi,
Here is where you can find the IP addresses of PayPal servers.
https://ppmts.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/92You can whitelist an IP that will bypass all firewall rules under Options.
http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#Whitelisted_IP_addresses_that_bypass_all_rulesGive that a try and see if it helps.
Thanks!
BrianHi,
You may want to try an even higher setting.

I’m looking into this for you.

Sorry. Had some posting trouble last night 🙂
Hi Alan,
Try changing the setting for how Wordfence gets IP addresses. That should help.

Thanks,
BrianNick,
I don’t believe there is a way to make Wordfence Live Traffic available to the public.
Also, there is not a way to change the length of the log files. They are set to keep the files as small as possible when dealing with live traffic. I’ll pass the request on though.
Thanks for the input!

BrianHi Neal,
I haven’t seen any reports on those plugins so I can’t say if there are any issues or not. Do a site backup before introducing any new plugins. Test with each plugin by itself and if there are no issues try them both together.

Hi,
Yes, we have an exclude files feature for this very reason. You could setup an exclusion for the backed up database table.
