As long as your files are set to be writable you should be able to edit them right there in that screen.
All of the php files that are being used by your theme are listed down the right side of that screen.
You can see what theme is active under

In reply to: Can't add mediaHi Lynn – this could be a conflict with a new plugin or possibly a browser issue. Sometimes IE causes issues when editing in WordPress.
Can you try another browser like Chrome or Firefox to see if you can add media there?
If that’s not the fix – have you added any new plugins recently or updated any?

In reply to: Custom Menu Item with auto created Category listI’m not familiar with dynamically adding categories to your main menu. What if you did a work around like this thread suggests?
Place a page in your top menu that might say “Categories” then once they land on that page there’s a dynamic list (sort of like a sitemap) visible for them to choose a category.
Would this work?

In reply to: Wrong link shows up, if you google my websiteTry submitting a 301 redirect to Google. You can use a WordPress plugin to make this happen on your site – then head over to Google and submit the new page that they should be pointing to.

Also – be sure to have a great 404 on your site. This will help anyone looking for an old page to get redirected quickly.

In reply to: Mystery Navigation LinkThat’s a post that has appeared there. You may need to edit your main menu as CharlyIBC mentioned. This would be the same area that you’ve created those great dropdown options.
You can also check with your theme’s author / documentation to see if you’ve accidentally added a feature.

In reply to: How to separate categories into 2 groupsHi – If I’m understanding you correctly – You can manually do a bulk edit to all of your posts to move them into two categories.
You’ll want to create the categories first.
Then go to Dashboard >> All Posts
On this screen you can edit 20 posts at one time.
Check the box next to “Title” and just above it you should see “Bulk Edits” Select “Edit” from that dropdown and click Apply.
This will allow you to move (or remove) all of these posts to a specific category quickly and easily.
Is this what you’re trying to accomplish?

In reply to: Custom Menu Item with auto created Category listHi Daniel – inside of WordPress widgets you should find an available widget called “Categories.” This should automatically list your categories (if you have an article published in that category). It will not list the categories if there are no articles.

I’d suggest connecting with your hosting company to see if they can migrate it for free for you. This is not as simple as moving all of the files as you’ve found out. The database has to be pointed correctly, as well as all of your files.
There may be plugins to help you accomplish this as well. You’re looking to migrate your WordPress site.

In reply to: Godaddy wordpress loads of errors?Looks like you’ve installed WordPress on a subfolder inside your domain. You may want to go uninstall WordPress through your GoDaddy hosting cpanel and then try to reinstall it.
When it asks you where you want to install it – just choose your domain name and do not add a folder name. This should place the WordPress database directly onto your .com.
If you’re struggling with this GoDaddy has pretty good phone support.
