Most likely something went during the update thus you are unable to change the themes. The translation should have been done automatically if you have set define(‘WPLANG’,'[lang_code]’) to the desired language code in wp_config.php file. The option will not work if you have updated the images using FTP. The thumbnail is being only generated when you upload the images using our Photo Gallery Media Upload. If you have the images in your WordPress Media Library you can turn on Media Library using feature from Options>Global Options. After that you can select and add the image to the gallery. This way the thumbnails will be created. Thank you.
