Clearing the caches and rebooting solved the persistence issue *phew*!
What do you recommend as a replacement?
I remember going through a bunch of plugins before I settled on StarBox, which worked intuitively and quickly. 🙁
I’d like to know the answer as well.
As a precaution, I deleted the plugin but the author bios persist.
This is not encouraging.
I’ve cleared all caches — maybe it’s a network cache issue?

when I want to add a link, I highlight the text, click on the link button, and the entire screen goes gray with a lightbox/takeover thing and nothing works

to wp-config, logging out and logging back fixed things
*phew*
Just installed, deleted the cache and ran a random page through the debugger.
No more error message re mismatched metadata.
