its really the same thing i have now, i just installed it and tested it out, just a different way since it uses a better way for categorization and it can be styled more advanced, but what i really want is to able to display meta and other post info next to the post links
EDIT i realized that i just that i just bumped my post again sorry about that, but it was not showing the edit button on the side anymore
its a cool plugin hotkee :), useful but not really what i am looking for, a not plugin solution would be best. i just want to find out a way of doing this using the wp codex alone
i apologies for my impatient nature, i do know of this problem, and i will be thankful for any help of any kind
so does that mean this post will never be answered ?
any ideas any one?

In reply to: inserting imagesfor one i have to say i hate hostgator, i have one site with them and they erased like 1TB of content cuz they said it was copyrighted but than they said sorry because they realized only one file was copyrighted, what assholes.
next i am definite that hosgator does not have a upload limitation thing, its probably limited to 2 MB for php/http uploads like most hosts. I am confused about how you could be having problems inserting images.
could you have simply tried <img class=”alignnone” src=”http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif” alt=”” />
when you are under the html tab during “new post”
try that and see if it works, if that does not work, than i really can’t say why would your WP blog not show images, i would say re install WP

In reply to: More Tag breaks themeshave your tried looking in the post loop code to see if there is anything that stops a more tag

In reply to: inserting imagesfirst is your blog installed in the root public_html?
if yes you can make a folder there ex images and upload your images there than link to the images in the folder. if that does not work than idk what can 🙂but WP should be able to upload images unless your hosting has limitations on http upload, this your can find in a file called php.ini (located usually in your public_html folder) where a upload limit is indicated i suggest contacting your hosting company

In reply to: static home pageall the post information is in the theme you are using, under probably the loop file or called a post file.
the information is simply small pieces of codes that call on the different aspects of the post, they can be removed to leave a bare post with no information of its own showing except the post text itself.

In reply to: Web Browser Detect and Theme Select ??????and do you guys call every other noob a noob “when they say ahh my login is gone, or my password does not work, what should i do ????” no right? you just give them a link that tells them how to do it, even though they could have as easily googled it

In reply to: Web Browser Detect and Theme Select ??????idk why you guys are all so offensive, if you have no idea about how to switch the theme than why post at all, this post has nothing to do with my coding i say once again, i will stay a lazy noob no matter what, but i hope this forum has people with ideas that can help me, if not than its ok, like i said its sooner or later i will write it up myself, all i wanted is some info about doing this

In reply to: Web Browser Detect and Theme Select ??????lol 1990s haha, yeah many tell me to stop being lazy but that still has nothing to do with my question. all i ask is about theme switching in wordpress.

In reply to: Web Browser Detect and Theme Select ??????I don’t use IE myself except for testing but if I did I certainly wouldn’t switch browsers because a certain site didn’t work properly when using it. I just wouldn’t visit that site anymore.
exactly that is why with having ability to automatically change themes to a IE compatible theme the user would not see the errors or problems at all, but you can still tell the user that the site works better with ff and others
