In reply to: [UpStream: a Project Management Plugin for WordPress] Projects page 404 errorHi @pcofield
Please check to see if you can access any project URLs directly, skipping the main /projects/ page.
If not, please email help@upstreamplugin.com with more details.
We’ve seen that problem on some sites with security plugins enabled. Because of conflicts with other plugins, we’re going to remove this feature.
Please add the user to WordPress the normal way, then add them to a Client.
For you, and for others who may have the same question in the future, we wrote an explanation of why we use recurring subscriptions: https://upstreamplugin.com/faq/
We also included links to the thinking of other WordPress developers on this topic.
@thelittlegreenman Could you at least report the errors, please?
No fixing needed at all. Just tell us what happened.
Sending a 30 second email to help@upstreamplugin.com would be a huge help.
Most errors are quickly solved. For example, we can help confirm your site meets the requirements: https://upstreamplugin.com/docs/technical-requirements/

Could you help us out and report those errors, please? We’re at help@upstreamplugin.com. We can fix them for you, and for other users.
I’m sorry to hear your disappointment.
In terms of the business model, UpStream uses the same model as almost every other plugin developer in WordPress. I haven’t seen one-time fees for WordPress software in many years. There are a lot of good posts available about why developers choose annual subscriptions, but the short version is that it’s almost impossible to maintain good software on one-time fees. Unfortunately, your suggestion is a recipe for going out of business.
In terms of the price for extra features, they start at under $50. Is that really an unacceptably high cost?
For these reasons, please consider changing your review.
You can always email us to discuss this more and see how we can help you: help@upstreamplugin.com.

In reply to: [UpStream: a Project Management Plugin for WordPress] Multiple usersGreat, thanks @karolsz
We are working on making it easier to add clients to projects. Look for that in the next couple of months.
Hi @msdevteam
Thanks for using UpStream and reporting this.
We were not able to recreate this bug. Can you email help@upstreamplugin.com with more details, please?
Hi vikki05
It is possible to assign tasks to users from the frontend using the Frontend Edit extension: https://upstreamplugin.com/extensions/frontend-edit/
Soon that extension will make it possible to create projects from the frontend too.
Hi @dmc1983
Thanks for reporting this.
Let me start by saying that this is not a problem that’s been reported before. It’s likely be a unique configuration on your site, or perhaps a conflict with an unusual plugin.
That being said, we’re happy to help.
Could I ask you to email help@upstreamplugin.com with more details, please?
