    Nevermind, I did a check and the vulnerability likely came from a plugin. I was unsure because of the relatively new nature of this theme. Nice theme btw!

    Thank you for that and following up with me. Very interesting. I tested it out. With 0 tweets, I get that “Problem retrieving data from Twitter” message. So I test-tweeted (tweet count:1), and actually, the tweet showed up, so it’s not a configuration issue. Though I deleted the tweet and even with the 2 minute cache it’s still there 20 minutes later.

    Here’s my shortcode

    Oh, I just realized you need the pro version to have captcha :/. Otherwise the captcha won’t show. Thank you.

    From my brief file searching, I wasn’t able to find the message in your files.

    Something like…

    if account.messages = 0
    then return ‘no tweets found’ or ” (nothing at all)

    The current message suggests a technical issue to me.

    It’s really just for our situation, where we use the plugin as a way to have an quick announcement for the website.

    Great plugin, thanks Martin!

    Hello, I see that this fixed. TY.

    I’m curious: I can see that it hides my menu… but what about if I want to show a different menu when it’s below the mobile breakpoint?

    I had the same issue with v1.1.2, with no javascript console errors. I replaced the JS and I was fine. Thank you.

    While I’m here, I wanted to say I found two bugs.

    1. I pasted some custom CSS into your custom CSS block, which has :before in there. When I hit save, it did not save the CSS, though I noticed all my menu settings were reset. I was afraid to enter any CSS afterwards for fear of resetting my styles.

    2. Prior to seeing this thread, I thought about disabling your WPMM for mobile and using the default menu. When I clicked it to disable for mobile, it also disabled it for desktop!

    Anyway, thank you for your hard work. It’s a nice interface to allow for complex menus.

    actually, when i tried it today, it worked. i suppose it could have been due to a network issue of some sort. maybe a firewall, VPN, or the fact that I was in another country.

    thank you for the reply, angelleye. i never expected paypal to the reason for the issue. i had always assumed their services were working seamlessly.

    do you recommend any precautionary procedures for handling these types of 10001s? say, maybe, investigating all failed transactions?

    Hi, I wanted to chime in with some info.

    I am investigating a series of spam email scripts for a client’s website. The scripts being injected are similar to yours.

    When core files are changed, it’s either an update or it’s some malicious activity that exploits holes in WordPress or WordPress themes or WordPress plugins. Your situation is likely the latter.

    As for the email issue, you should contact your webhost about it to see if they limited it or stopped it due to violations of service (or something like that). Or are you saavy with control panel or WHM? You should look into your mail queue or mail logs to see if there is a load of spam mails being sent from your domain, because that is what happened to my client (mail was about medical supplies, medicine). For my client, the web host company contacted her and we had to work something out. For you, your webhost may have simply stopped outgoing emails from your mail server IP to prevent spam.

    Just a hypothesis, but I definitely feel this would explain your events.

    Hi. I just want to confirm that this works. Also, I want to give you a more clear set of directions for anyone needing to do this.

    Need:
    – FTP Access (need FTP credentials and FTP client like Filezilla)
    – Old version of WordPress files on your desktop (see Jeffrey’s link)

    Steps:
    1. Connect through FTP and go to the directory with your WP install.
    1a. Optional: backup your files.
    2. Jot down your database credentials. In FTP, open up wp-config.php and look for these four lines

    /** The name of the database for WordPress */
    define('DB_NAME', '#####');

    /** MySQL database username */
    define('DB_USER', '######');

    /** MySQL database password */
    define('DB_PASSWORD', '#######');

    /** MySQL hostname */
    define('DB_HOST', '#####');

    Should start at line 18. Copy and paste those lines into your desktop WP’s wp-config-sample.php. Delete those same lines from your wp-config.sample.php. Then rename your desktop wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php

    3. Overwrite your updated files (in FTP) with your older version files (on your desktop). Upload everything except wp-content (cause it wasn’t touch during the WP update to 4.0). FTP should detect which files your’re uploading are different and overwrite the ones up on the server. Hopefully this works. You can confirm by looking at your dashboard “At A Glance” thing. If it still says 4.0, then that means our files didn’t fully overwrite. So, go back to FTP, delete wp-admin folder, delete wp-includes folder, delete the individual .php files in the base directory (but please backup beforehand just in case you may have some useful non-WP files in there). Then upload your desktop files.

    4. If you did it correctly, when you reload your admin screen, it should say you need a database update. Click yes. Your “At a GLance” WP version listed should be updated.

    5. Breath a sigh of relief and give yourself a high five.

    I have the same issue in not being able to choose an image. I upload the image, “Use this image”, but the field doesn’t populate with the file name.

    Running 3.9.1.

    My workaround solution is manually typing/pasting the url of the image you want to use in the field and then pressing save.

    Whoops! After you mentioned that it worked fine on your computer, I decided to try and delete all my history on Chrome. It ended up working, I guess because some old Facebook cache was causing an error.

    Sorry for wasting your time Tom. That was a pretty big oversight by me. Great plugin.

    Facebook Like Not Loading in Chrome

    Hi, I just found WP Socialize. Great plugin and I can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the loading process for it.

    My issue may be related to the OP’s. Right now, FB Like works on every browser except my Google Chrome. When I take a look at the console, I see these errors:

    Uncaught ReferenceError: Socialite is not defined http://www.thehawaiiplan.com:484
    Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token { connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js:43
    Unknown RPC service: onstartinteraction

    Here’s a sample page: http://www.thehawaiiplan.com/whats-the-best-hawaiian-snack/

    I am totally clueless when it comes to loading. Any input would be appreciated.
