You will see a folder “ChildTheme” and page.php in it.
Copy childtheme to another location
copy page.php to childtheme
edit page.php
upload chiltheme to wp-content/themes folder

Its not theme related, theme doesn’t modify that widget, That widget by default shows categories in alphabetical order.
