this is what eventually helped me

first i edited my config because it was point to the old location of my wordpress database,
then i re ran the upgrade.php

im sorry for not describing it right, but its not two different installs its just a new name for the site a new domain thepartisanunion expires on the 11th but im just going to rmove it now but it didnt cause the problems

ok so i changed the db host to “wp”
im sorry but it was at “mysql”,
thats why it was looking int he wrong place i used to have the database ringht under the mysql process.
ok cool, now if you go to http://www.acidfreespeech.com you should see the right site nut does the upgrade automaticly set the theme to default?

ok its the same blog i just changed the domain name,
then i decided to upgrade wp, but when i went to backup my database it wasnt there, after numerous email to my host it turns out the wp database was put in the wrong place, they moved it for me and thats when things went sour

no its not, its been up for years

maybe if i run the install again but point it to the right database, or will that erase everything i already have

i cant make a post i cant get into the control panel.

yeah i guess ill settle on another theme but i kinda warmed up to the falling dreams theme
