I will run this test today. Thanks.
Ok, I wasn’t trying to get answers to my question per se but just help@bsdanu
Got it.
The downgrade is encountering some sort of problem.
Well, don’t do what I did. After I clicked accessibility mode. I saw the custom sidebars. But when I left to write the above note, I tried to get into the widget page and it had disappeared.

I deleted the plugin and reinstalled version 2.1.1.5 and that brought back my functionality. I had to change the sidebar page to “accessibility mode” which you can click on the top of the page.
I previously tried reinstalling 2.1.2.0 but that didn’t work. So, I skipped back a few versions. I didn’t try each one by one going backward.

I have the same problem.
In the Widget Admin only the left 1/3 of the page has widgets. The custom sidebars that I had, they have all disappeared.
On the left 1/3 I have three headings:
Available widgets with two columns of widgets below
Inactive sidebar (not used)
Inactive sidebar (not used)
Inactive widgets.
