You could make your own widget that just displays the output from the
sharing_display()function. We’ll look at adding this to the plugin in the future.1. The nofollow is added by WordPress core, wp-includes/default-filters.php:
add_filter( 'pre_comment_content', 'wp_rel_nofollow', 15 );2. You can contribute translations to http://translate.wordpress.com/projects. Both the Jetpack and WordPress.com projects are pertinent to emails.
3. Currently this can not be changed. We’ll work on fixing this.
That error is typically an issue with concurrent PHP processes. Jetpack, when connecting, requires two concurrent processes. If your host is limiting you to 1 process, you’ll get this error.
There is not currently a method to do this. This is on our development roadmap though.
You can install Jetpack and then only keep the modules you want active. Go to Jetpack -> Click Learn More of the module to Deactivate -> click Deactivate. It shouldn’t add too much overhead to your site.
Connecting to WordPress.com just allows us to offload some of the more intensive tasks (email, stat tracking, etc.) to our data centers instead of keeping that load on your server.
@rmvalues: please disable all other plugins and switch to an unmodified Twenty Eleven theme. Do comments work? If not, please get in touch with us at support@jetpack.me.
If you use Google Chrome’s Web Inspector (or similar tool), do you see any Javascript errors?
I have not heard of this. Can you temporarily disable JEtpack while doing the migration?
Both of the pages you posted have broken shortcodes. Have you checked other plugins for conflicts?
Do you have any caching installed? I can’t reproduce this currently.
Yes, you have to connect to WordPress.com and Jetpack will work with GoDaddy web sites. When you activate Jetpack, you should see a banner at the top of your plugins page with a “Connect” button in it. If you do not see this, change your theme to Twenty Eleven temporarily and it should show up.
Please provide more info, specifically some screenshots. Thanks!
Likely you have BuddyPress installed and active. There’s a conflict between the two that causes this. Temporarily turn off BuddyPress, activate Jetpack, then re-activate BuddyPress.
@kmcvay: code-wise, the Stats in Jetpack are the same (aside from updates) that the old standalone plugin was.
It also appears you have some sort of Honeypot software that is blocking access to your site. I just tried to visit it for the first time and got a 403 error. That is why Jetpack can’t connect.
Much of the image selection is determined by Facebook. You can add Open Graph tags (which we are looking at adding to Jetpack) to help FB pick images.
