@ingerdk You should have provided the link to the page where text is invisible, not the one where is visible 🙂
Anyway, maybe in that new site you haven’t selected an effect with description by default (all but highslide, if I remember well) or, more likely, you haven’t filled the description field in that new gallery.
Then, I don’t understand if new site has the same address – and why don’t you try to attach your gallery in that page using the ATP button instead of copying the code of another gallery?@renathy All single images in your posts will open in a fancybox style if you set it in Other Options -> Lightbox effects
@dreamwalk7 Your issue seems to come from a local server bad configuration, so you should ask support in your hosting service (MAMP?) forum.
@dreamwalk7, try to re-mapping that localhost port to 80.
8888 it seems to me a default one.@loblanc, you can try as said above or with Piclens option.
The page you are referring to is about Nextgen legacy version, and Galleryview template requires the installation and configuration of a third party plugin that I’m not sure it will work with the current version.
As for the carousel template, it works in my test site in this way, e.g.:
[nggallery id=1 template=carousel images=10]Not a problem per se, but it would be important to see the output to diagnose what happens.
Try to deactivate all other plugins with a WordPress default theme activated and clear cache, to see if the issue persists.@bjlbart I see you have a widget in the footer with a gallery of 4 images, try to remove it temporarily and update the page to see if something change… 32+4 is 36 after all so it could be a reason for the issue.
Another test is deactivate your theme and plugins, clear cache and see if the issue is still present. You have “pretty photo” coming with your theme, and this could cause a conflict@loblanc What do you mean with “GalleryView template”? A plugin?
@statrack You should try with a default WordPress theme and with the other plugins deactivated, because this could be a conflict, remember to clear cache.
If not, upload again NGG folder via FTP could works.@nf Graphic Design Have you tried to add the album via the ATP function from NGG button in visual editor?
@camcreations27 The other option is to wait until the stable version is released, in this case you’ll see the message in the dashboard and you’ll be able to upgrade from there.
Anyway sooner or later you’ll have to learn to use FTP, that’s important for managing the website on a standalone installation.
For now, if you’re not familiar with it, it’s better for you to wait, not because managing FTP is difficult, but because any beta version could be a risk.PS: I’m curios, did you really receive an email about the beta available?
@huseinhusein No, it isn’t possible by default
they don’t get bigger when I click on them!!
@huseinhusein Because your pictures are really of that size.
You can set thumbnail dimensions in “Thumbnail Options” in Other Options, and choose “crop” so the thumbs will be exactly 400×400, no portraits.
First you may need to clear image cache, look in Other Options.
Of course first of all you need to upload images larger than you have now (300x), e.g. if you upload images 600px you will see more or less (it depends from screen resolution) images of that size when opened in lightbox, and when they are thumbnails they will have the size you set.@catfish71 if you choose the “shutter” effect you can see in the thumbnail, when it’s opened in the lightbox, the text that you put in the description field in manage gallery page.
