In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workOmg. I was so ready to punch Google in the face.
Thanks for the link, it solved my last problem. Holy f*cking shit, what an ordeal.
Thanks for your patience and professionalism and have a great rest of the weekend!

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workI now get an orange ‘Acces Google Analytics’ (I found the ‘Analytics’ service, not one of my greater moments, I’ll freely admit to that), but when I click it, Google tells me thus:
“401. Thatβs an error.Error: invalid_client
no application name”
I named the project, but where in the world do I put in an application name?
I guess google’s not-quite-helpful-either help section isn’t TechGasp’s fault, but my frustration is becoming less and less discerning as to its targets. *sigh*

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workIt’s very kind of you to do support work on a weekend and I appreciate that. You wouldn’t need to help me, though, if the plugin gave better directions during setup.
The client-ID page tells me:
“3. Select Services from the menu. The list of accessible Google services appears.
4. Scroll through the list. For each service you want your application to work with, click the Status switch next to the service name (so that it switches from OFF to ON.”None of those services has anything about statistics in its name or description. And what does ‘your application’ mean, exactly? The plugin? I honestly thought this part was directed at developers, which would be strange but, hey.
So, maybe I woke up on the obtuse side of the bed today, but I find this pretty confusing. Do I just skip 3. and 4.? I guess I’ll just try that now and see what happens.

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workI expected it right above the closing header tag…
I’ll give it four stars if you tell me how to make actual statistics appear: Screenshot

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workUsing script, footer option *not* checked.
As you’ll see, there’s no tracking script in the header.

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workTried it, still doesn’t work.
Btw. it doesn’t even show empty graphs, but I’ve got Adblock and Scriptblocker deactivated for my page.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workI tried the footer-option, but not the one using the script.
I’ll do that and report back.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workThe tracking insertion works if I use the option offered in my theme (suffusion), but it says there that it should work with plugins, too, and I’d love to not have to walk over to google’s cluttered data overkill every time I want to see my stats.
EDIT: Just for clarity: I used either the theme option or the plugin, not both simultaneously to avoid conflict.

In reply to: [TechGasp Google Analytics Master] Plugin doesn't workI did, but it wasn’t inserted into the header. Tried some other plugins for the same purpose, none of them worked.
Maybe it’s a problem with WP 4?I’m just glad I can use the plugin now π
I hope you solve/d your specific problem. I imagine it must suck very much to have dozens of pages go offline because of one little plugin.
The problem solved for me when I moved my blog to a professional server. The plugin works fine now.
I installed it just three days ago so it should be the latest.
