I just ran in to this issue as well and tried the wp-mailfrom. Works a treat.

I was using the plugin migrator. Installed it to the wordpress installation and it moved all my posts over. Now I’m just sorting it all and so far so good. Got an issue with my users though. That might be a bit tricky.

Weird. I deactivated all plugins and suddenly the image appears. The thumbnails are also in the media browser.

Activate the plugins one by one, checking in between if the image stays or goes. Finally have ALL plugins activated again and the image insertion is working beautifully.

Found other threads on here about older version having the same thing happen to them and in some cases it was the URL in settings > general that was mixed caps and lower case (not something I had done).

Anyway – the image thing is now finally working for me and I can’t explain why.

I’m going nuts. I really need this to work.

The “add image” isn’t visible at all in safari or google chrome. Only in Firefox.

The image IS on the server in the location it should be and called.Image doesn’t show up – at all. No thumbnail in media browser, nor in page.

    Please please help!!

Here is what I see in html mode:

    <img class=”alignright size-full wp-image-114″ title=”name of image” src=”http://domain/wordpressinstallation/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/nameofimage.jpg” alt=”” /><img class=”alignright size-full wp-image-128″ title=”Name Of Image” src=”http://domain/wordpressinstallation/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/nameofimage.jpg” alt=”Name Of Image” />

Ok, done that. No change. Same problem as before. Images don’t even show up as thumbnails in the media section but if I ftp in to the directory, they are all there.

It’s blank to be using default, right?

    Hi JLeuze

Gigpress is the one I’m using. The ical/googlecal automation is priceless. I’ve already filled the database.

I’m porting the site from a joomla install of 1.0.x to the latest wordpress. Over the years I’ve collected some 600 press contacts. The site has ben running for 8 years and is for a recording and touring band signed to a major label. All content (apart from press/promoters) have been transferred. I don’t want them to be prompted for new passwords etc before I’m completely done.

Getting press to register has not been an issue at all. The requirements is to screen everyone and to be able to shut individuals off. We used to have one password for all but as with promoters, they are only to gain access once they have been confirmed to promote a show (i.e. they have paid the advance).

So basically, I need a registration form where they enter address details, work etc. I also need a front end login that takes the press person to the press page and the promoter to the promoter page. The login and registration should be on each press/promoter front page which is accessed from the main menu.

No menus in the sidebar until logged in.

News and upcoming shows only in sidebar.

Basically – I need the page to look almost (but not entirely) exactly as it does in joomla. I’m halfway there on the looks. Once the band records and release a new album, the site will be rethemed again to reflect new album cover. The site is for business purposes mainly another company is running a fan-club style page for them.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I am have a really tight deadline here so not much more than the weekend to get it fixed.
