having the same problem with dashboard. Followed all the suggestions above, but nothing helped..
Did you ever get to the bottom of the problem? Was it a virus or something??
Would be grateful for any help…

In reply to: Database problem when reinstalling wordpressI uploaded all the files again, repair the tables with phpadmin and nothing… so now really flumoxed.
Maybe the virus did something to the database that doesn’t allow me to reinstall ???

In reply to: Database problem when reinstalling wordpressI know I have the right privileges because my site was on that database already. I only deleted the last version because I had a virus and that seemed to be the only way to fix. Now I tried and install the new version, it comes back with: “One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.”
I don’t understand what could have changed about the database to not allow me to install the new version? Is there something I need to do to the database to prepare it for the new version?
Pulling my hair out..

In reply to: Database problem when reinstalling wordpressYes, all there, as the diagram shows. There was one extra one – which I didn’t put there – wp_flckr_post – but i’ve now deleted that.
I tried to install again and it’s still coming up with the same message:
One or more database tables are unavailable. The database may need to be repaired.
Is there anything else I can do?

In reply to: 2.9.2 upgrade – Dashboard not loadingI’m having a similar problem.
my 2.7 dashboard wasn’t working properly – it all appeared in simple text – so I upgraded to 2.8.2. buti realised half way through that I hadn’t backed up – so I clicked away.. now i try and get in and starts loading, but then the page goes blank.. Not sure what to do??? Any ideas appreciated..
