This is a live site, I can’t turn off plugins because there are vital parts of my posts that are controlled by plugins.
Premium support are the ones who told me to use the widget in the first place, and they were completely unhelpful about it because they gave me instructions that were exactly what I did.
I’ll just remove the widget because absolutely cannot have my site looking wonky or information missing from posts.
It’s the Jetpack Pay with PayPal widget. Literally no code to use. It only asks me to name the button, give a description of what I’m selling/asking for money for, and my PayPal email address. I’ve quadruple checked, that’s all it ever asks for and my PayPal email is correct. I am not at my computer right now or I’d post a screenshot of what the widget settings allow me to input. However, code is definitely not one of them.
I don’t want it on the shop page though, that’s the problem. I don’t want it on any page. And it annoys me to no end because I see screenshots of people using Storefront without sidebars all the time. I’m assuming they’ve just removed all widgets from the sidebar and don’t have business partners who might add widgets in and make it show up again.
I guess I’ll just ditch my website plans because that sidebar needs to be absolutely gone to prevent it from ever being used. (Interesting to note – you cannot unregister the sidebars – it doesn’t work at all.)
Ok, here’s what I mean. This is on the live server – as you can see, WooCommerce is active and I don’t have the option of changing the page templates on the Storefront theme.

This didn’t start until after I paid to get an Akismet API key… could that have created a secondary account with the same email? Because my widget worked fine until I bought the API key.
