More info:

For instance, my options, in WP are currently set to show the most recent 7 posts. As you can see, this is not what shows on my front page.

    Thanks again.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, I apologize for not being clear.

What happens is, in addition to the monthly archive links (which do work), all posts will remain on the “recent” page unless I move them manually.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Hi macmanx, thanks for responding.

The problem is this: in the dashboard, what the wiki is saying is the case, i.e. people can only edit their own posts.

However, if they go to the blog, and are logged in, they can edit ANY and all posts, that is, all the posts have the “Edit This” link, and can be edited by any user, even if they have a user level of 1.

Maybe there is a way for me to edit the template so that the “Edit This” link doesn’t show up on posts at all?

Hi Ming, thank you for your quick reply!

Everyone other than me has a User Level of 1 and they can all do what it seems like what this page says Level 2 users can do, e.g. write posts that do not wait for a approval to be posted, edit posts other than their own, etc.

    Am I missing something?
