In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoOK, something was wonky within the post itself. I don’t know what, because I don’t no sh&t about code and whatnot. All I did was cut the text from the post, delete it, start a new post, paste in the content, and finally paste the Vimeo embed code. But watch out! If you toggle between html and visual, WordPress screws up your Vimeo code. So try not to toggle between them.
This is the only thing that worked for me.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoSomething else must be going on here. I uploaded the videos at Vimeo, and now I can’t even embed those into WordPress. Only the links show, and not the video frame.
Does anyone know why I’m unable to even embed YouTube videos or Vimeo videos when I had no problem before? Is this something with the 3.0 version?

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoDoes not work for me. Nothing shows on the page at all after I update the post with html short code. I followed the same exact steps as you, and it doesn’t work at all.
So, the question must be, why isn’t working? Why does it work for you and not for me? That, my friend, I could not tell you.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoDid that. Put short code in. Still not working. Tried playlist short code. Still not working.
You can’t tell me there isn’t someone on this forum who doesn’t know how to do this. This issue has been marked ‘resolved’ on the topics I searched. If only those individuals had shared how the resolved it.
I promise, I will tell you exactly how I resolve this issue, for future users.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoDid that. FLV files are in uploads folder. FLV files are showing in media->wordtube in the Media Library. They all have #s.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoOK, I just spent a couple hours with the WordTube plugin, and that is not working for me either. I loaded the JWplayer in the correct folder. The settings detect the flash player. But Media->wordtube displays a red warning box which says- ‘The Flash player is not detected. Please recheck if you uploaded it and verify the path in the wordTube settings.’
When I put ‘[media id=1]’ into my html, I don’t get anything on my site. So I am back where I started from.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoPatel, I understand what you are saying. I know the difference between quick time and adobe flash. What I need is a stable player that I can embed into my blog to play the video (either in mp4 or flv).

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoThank you Patel, but I do not understand what you are saying. I do have quick time installed on my pc, but only pro has the ‘export to web’ option. I do not have quick time pro. I did convert the files to flv, but I still as yet have not found an embedded flv player for my blog.
How did you embed the quick time player into your site?
Thanks,

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoPatel, how do you embed an Apple Quicktime Mediaplayer? Do you need Quicktime Pro? I do not have that.
Thanks for your help,

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoI don’t want to upload to YouTube because I would like to host the video myself.
I tried the viper plugin, and it does not work for videos posted on your own server.
Thanks for your help, Voodoo. I know there must be a solution out there as there are a number of posts which involve this issue, and not one includes an answer. They just say ‘topic resolved’ with no solution.
It seems like it should be very simple. I’m stumped.

In reply to: Need assistance with mp4 videoBump.
I’ve converted the files to flv. So I can embed the video either way. Again, please let me know if you have a solution so I broadcast these videos.
Thanks,

Put in another two hours working on this. Would appreciate any and all help I could get. When I search ‘mp4’, I find there are a lot people with problems with this, but there are no solutions posted.
Thanks,
Mike
