Still can’t manage to email posts to or from my WP–nobody can give me a hand on this one? Or, I guess, these two.
I’m still getting the same PHP errors when I try to execute the wp-email.php script and the same “There doesnÒ€ℒt seem to be any new mail.” message even though I know for a fact there is email in that inbox from an email address WP recognizes.
As a 2 week old WP user and a relative PHP n00b, I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

It sure seems like a bug to me, too–why have the option to keep your index.php in another location if you can’t edit it there? I’m always tweaking my site and while I thought I could deal, it’s gotten to be a serious pain. Any solution to this would be muchly appreciated.

<?php wp_get_linksbyname(”); ?> <–this doesn’t pull up anything for me. Putting the link category name in there does, however, which is nice. The one thing that’s weird is that I have to add the link category name in front of the tag–I could have sworn it would put the link category name up automatically, but I guess I’m mistaken. It’s no big deal now. Thanks for this thread, though–it was a big help!

First off, thanks for your reply. Second, I could have sworn I waited a whole day to post that second post–but I guess time stamps don’t lie. Third, I hardly consider “So… no takers on this one, huh?” a complaint. If it came across as a complaint, I apologize–that was not my intent. It was meant as a poke or a prod to see if anyone had even noticed the post.
Fourth, thanks for your advice–that took care of the issue with the links, but I’m still getting bulletted archives, but for now, I don’t care about that. My main concern was getting the links to display properly. So, thanks a lot! I do appreciate it.

So… no takers on this one, huh?

So, is there a way to use the “list=0” on other tags? Basically, I hate bullets and can’t seem to get rid of all of them with in the links and archives. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Beel! I’m an idiot! I keep forgetting that. πŸ˜‰
All I had to do was bother to look for the trackback in the same location as it is on the MT blogs I was just talking about. I am a serious dip sometimes. Sorry to waste your time. Thanks for the help! I’ll shut up now.

Where do I find/how do I post the trackback link?

Sorry, I’m new to this trackback/pingback thing–so if someone simply uses the permalink as the trackback link, it will function as such? It’s just that some MT blogs I visit have a separate link for trackbacks that is different from their permalinks.

I had the same problem and the above solution… worked for me, too!
    Thanks, Adsworth!!
And thanks to Rori, too for posting this thread in the first place! πŸ™‚

    Just found this post:

    sexycodegirl’s solution worked for me… man–I was having a heart attack…

Same problem here… this is very frustrating–I am finding more and more “little” problems with this tool after I have spent waaay too much time configuring it all to my liking. Once I get one thing fixed there’s something else. I can’t log out nor can I log in. (Doing each on different computers in different browsers.) Tried clearing cookies and cache, with no luck. I cleared my cookies/cash in PC/Mozilla and was allowed to log out. Then, it wouldn’t let me log back in! I don’t dare log out of my main account on my Mac or I’ll lose access to my blog forever, apparently. Tried uploading a fresh wp-login.php and no go.
This is bad–I’m really upset here. I’m afraid I’m going to have to start all over here unless someone has a solution.

Here’s a totally absurd question, but I’m curious if it’s possible to do with the above code–I’d love to have the images shrink by a percentage every time a category is added.
That’s asking too much, isn’t it?

    Thanks, alphaoide–that did the trick!

Here’s a fun question: is there any way to tweak that code so it will also output given text around it?
What I am trying to do is be able to have it output the the category ID that matches up with an image file. Right now, on either side of that tag in my template, I have “<IMG SRC=” and “.jpg>” This works fine until I assign more than one category. I was thinking it would be great if we (ok, you) could tweak that code to somehow tell it to add “<IMG SRC=” and “.jpg>” before and after each category ID#. I’ve seen other WP tags that can do something like this, but couldn’t get those tweaks to work on this code. Any advice/help would be much appreciated!
