I turned off the S2member custom message and receive only the WordPress message now. That works!
The only downside is that you can’t edit the subject now… There seems to be a filter, but can’t make it work or find a good/working example on the web. Ah well, that’s for another day then 😉
Thanks guys!
Jas,
Now I receive nothing at all…
Any other idea?Christian,
I added this to s2-hack.php which is in the mu-plugins folder.
Did not solve the problem.Tried also in functions.php of the theme, but also to no avail.
Any other suggestions I can try?
Christian, I moved everything to another server and this problem is solved.
Case closed. Thanks!
Okay, I will move to another server and let you know if the problem persists or will be solved.
So.. a week later and still got the problem. Finally it looks like we got to where the bottleneck really is. I am currently in Bangkok, Thailand and my server is in North America.
The ISP that we are using seems the problem, altho they deny it. I am not that technical on this front, but by my understanding it is because of their DNS servers. I did a Traceroute diagnostic and you can really pinpoint delays.
My guess for now is that it is a location/connection issue and likely have to change the server to solve this problem…
Thanks Christian,
The links seems to be okay (especially since they are working correctly when loading the page for the first time).
The best way to describe the problem is that when re-loading or re-visiting a page the places where there should be an image there is no image loaded or the broken-image-icon shows. Really odd thing.
When the broken-image-icon shows and then right-click -> open image in new tab -> the page is a 404-error page.I will look into the ‘cache’ first and see what I find.
Christian,
If all images load fine than this is the URL:
http://portal.my-domain.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/files/2014/04/file-name.jpgOpening the image in a new tab:
http://portal.my-domain.com/wp-login.php?s2member_file_download=files/2014/04/file-name.jpgWhen the images does not show or show a missing image icon the URLs are the same, except when opening in a new tab http://portal.my-domain.com/wp-login.php?s2member_file_download=files/2014/04/file-name.jpg it show the 404 page error.
I haven’t touched or changed anything in the Scripting API.
Additional note: It is a portal and completely protected from the public. All pages/text inside the protected area work fine. The problem is solely the images somehow. And the problem seems to be happening when refreshing or re-visiting pages…
