I understand your frustration, but don’t give up yet. We have a few things we can check to narrow this down.

I noticed that your site is using the Neve theme by ThemeIsle, please correct me if I’m mistaken.

First, could you check whether the editor freezes only on this particular page or on every page?

The console error you provided contains ?page_id=679, which tells us that the error occurred while working with that particular page, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that the page itself is the cause.

Please try editing a few other pages and let us know whether you experience the same problem.

If the problem occurs on every page, the next step would be to temporarily switch from Neve to a default WordPress theme and test the editor again. You don’t need to delete Neve just temporarily activate another theme for testing.

This will help us determine whether the issue is specific to the page, the theme, or something else.

Theme or plugin conflict is one possible cause. But before you disable your plugins, check the browser console to view the errors and let us know what it says. To do this, right Click anywhere on the page and select Inspect then go to console. Try clicking edit on WordPress again and you will see the errors displayed on the console. Copy and paste the errors you see here and will determine what’s causing the problem.

Contact the support team of Charity Hub. Or update the theme all together. If the theme is unmaintained, youll have to use a more recent version and maintained theme.

    Hello,

since you already have a complete backup of your website, you are in a safe position to execute a bulk update.

I get that you need human in the loop review process to verify the data before it is saved to WordPress, the best workflow for you should look like this: “Export, Analyze, and Re-import“. It will give you complete control inside a spreadsheet editor before touching your live site database again.

Here is how I picture your workflow with free available resources,

    • Step 1: Install a free tool from the official repository like WP All Export to export your 170 recipes. Make your exported CSV file includes the POST ID, POST TITLE, POST CONTENT, and your CUSTOM FIELDS (difficulty, prep_time, etc.).
    • Step 2: Open your CSV file in a spreadsheet editor (like Google Sheets or Excel). To automate extracting the parameters without manually reading all 170 posts, you can use free external automation tools like, Numerous.ai or GPT for Sheets.

Alternatively, you can copy chunks of 20-30 rows of recipe content at a time and paste them directly into the free web versions of ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Use a prompt like: “Analyze this text and extract: Difficulty, Prep Time, Cooking Time, Total Time, Servings. Return the data strictly as a spreadsheet table.” Paste the resulting tables right back into your blank CSV rows so you can visually review and approve every single value
    • Step 3: Import and update existing posts. Install the companion free plugin WP All Import. Run a New Import using your updated CSV file.
    • In Import Setting: Choose “Existing Items” and match them using the Post ID. In the data settings, configure the plugin to only update your specific custom fields, leaving the post titles, content, categories, layout, and SEO data completely untouched.

Always test this import on a staging site first if you have one available, or verify your database backup right before executing the final step

hi, have you already requested for the license key? if yes, there are a few things you can check if you still getting this error: 1.just make sure you are requesting the license key from the same browser or session used in your WordPress admin and if you requested more than 24hrs ago,try again.

2.manually copying and pasting the license key from the email instead of using automatic activation might also help

    3. url mismatch so make sure you verify that your WordPress Site URL and Home URL match correctly and are accessible publicly.
i am not sure if this instruction will help you situation but let me know where you are at or the condition of the problem. might help further if you give me more info, cheers
