In reply to: [Local Business SEO] Database Error: Multiple primary key definedI am seeing this also.
I don’t understand why this plugin is causing this fundamental database error (if in fact it is).
However, the other thing that I’m curious about is why it’s modifying the database at all. Once its settings are recorded, why would it need to make any changes to the database after that?
You said, “Again, it’s not defective. It works fine for a lot of people. If you carefully read the documentation you can set it up right.”
Well, I *have* read the documentation carefully, and it still doesn’t work. Does that mean that I not followed the documentation and have done something wrong? I can’t tell, because you never replied to my requests for help.
Note that it’s your lack of response to legitimate support requests that led to my two-star rating. Also note that until I posted this relatively negative review and rating, you never replied to any of my messages to you.
I misspoke: they have not removed the defective feature. They just say (on their website) that they won’t support it.
It would be a nice idea if they’d put text on the feature setting page warning that the feature’s implementation is flawed and they don’t support it. That way, users will know not to waste time on it.
Thanks, I just took the 0.2.4 update and it prevented users with type “Employer” from having access to the plugin’s settings in the dashboard.
I don’t fully undertand the change you made with respect to employees and founders yet but I will study it later.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Local Business SEO] Fast, Easy and EffectiveHi – I’ve revised my review. I don’t think I need to add anything else here.

1. I don’t know what “seeks” are, but I don’t understand how ads for YOUR business will help MY search results rankings.
2. What else is in the plugin that is a hidden benefit to you and your company?Forum: Reviews

What am I doing wrong?

Here’s a further clarification:
I have a website (www.trustworthycare.com) that has existed for a long time. Until this morning it worked fine. Yesterday I took an update to the plugin called BackWPUp, updating from version 2.1.7 to 3.0.3. Prior to taking the update, the plugin worked fine and the website worked fine.I took the update and allowed the scheduled backups and database operations to run overnight.
This morning the website no longer displays the images that it needs. The rest of the theme works (colors, layout, etc) but the images are broken. If I look in the WP dashboard Media tab, it shows most of the images (but not all) as broken (i.e., a little icon displays in place of the image).
When I FTP to the site and the media folder, the image files are all still present and all seem to be intact. They just don’t display in the Media tab nor on the site, anymore.
Can anyone suggest how I can recover from this. I don’t know for certain that BackWPUp caused this, I just know that nothing else changed. I do have a backup from a day or two ago, and I can restore from that if I have to.
Thanks,
– Tim
For everyone else’s benefit, here’s what Stefano discovered. I had made a mistake when I set up the folders and files in wp-content/extensions/newsletter/emails/themes to save my custom email themes. Here’s Stefano’s explanation:
“problem solved. On wp-content/extensions/newsletter/emails you copied the full “emails” folder probably while trying to create a new theme. Only the theme folders can be copied otherwise Newsletter assumes you are customizing the core file and loads them.
I removed the file leaving there only the themes.”
Stefano – Thank you! I sent you the info earlier today. If you have not received it, please let me know.
Thanks,
TimOk, I accept your very kind offer of help. I will be happy to grant you FTP access. How can I send you the appropriate credentials without doing it here on this public forum?
Thanks,
TimHere’s an update:
1. I switched the http://www.trustworthycare.com site over to the same theme (Avada) as I’m using on the other site that works (www.ageassistance.com).
2. I deleted the theme that I was previously using (Thesis 1.8.2, a rather old version of that theme) and I tried my best to erradicate all signs of it.Then I took the update to Newsletter 3.1.3, and the problem STILL occurs.
There are still some vestiges of the Thesis theme, including extra fields in the Post type when I create new posts. I speculate that Thesis is at the bottom of all this, but I could certainly be wrong about that.
For now I have just rolled back to Newsletter 3.0.9 and its functionality is satisfacotry for my needs right now.
I don’t know what do do to solve this problem, but for now, I’ll just stay with 3.0.9 and go back to getting work done on other fronts.

Hi again – I found that I have a copy of Newsletter 3.0.9 in a backup set, so I just restored it from there. Now everything works on that site, at 3.0.9 functionality levels.
Frankly, I’m stumped about this. I can’t figure out why, on just my one site, the paths are getting corrupted.
Hi Stefano –
Could you make available the files for Newsletter 3.0.9 as a temporary fix for me? I’ve begun depending upon the plugin and I need to be able to create new messages for next week.
Thanks,
Tim
