In reply to: I have no admin toolbar.I installed it and activated it. Don’t see anything new. I don’t know if it’s the theme or me, but none of my widgets are connecting for me like links. I can’t move from site to site. It seems I lost quite a bit of capability with the 2011 theme. Before the only issues were that I didn’t have the add new plugin option and some functions were denied because I did not have the proper permissions.

In reply to: I have no admin toolbar. This is what I tried yesterday. I deactivated all plugins, changed all 5 themes to the 2011. I did not reset plugins through FTP. When I checked it, the value was equal to what esmi told me to do in a post last night. I didn’t change anything. I have not deleted and reinstalled yet. I added a new adm user & am waiting for the confirmation email.

In reply to: I have no admin toolbar.esmi, have I lost you? Is there anyone who can help me with this problem?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: I have no admin toolbar.esmi, I have copied all my posts (just in case). I changed all 5 themes to 2011. I deactivated all plugins in WP. In myphpadmin, the value of active_plugins in a:0:{}. I still have no add new plugin option. My use role is administrator. Perhaps my confusion about the adm bar is because I have not used an version of WP earlier than 3.4.2. From what I read the adm bar is combined in the navigation bar on the left. With all the plugins deactivated, I see no actions I cannot take except the options under theme. I can customize and everything else but the “options” button is grayed out. Since I can’t select options, I’m not getting the forbidden message. Am I now at the point where I need to take you last suggestion (- re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.) I’m still wondering about the permissions value in my cPanel. Does that make any difference?
