In reply to: Cannot see themes correctlyHow to fix the login problem though.. I swear I have to click on ‘lost password’ each time to maybe get in. Once in, I always change my admin’s password to what it should be and I still cannot log back in.. weird. I have cleared cache/cookies and used 2 different browsers 🙁

This helped me. It’s not a actual file on your ftp but something you have to change via your host in cpanel/phpMyAdmin

In reply to: Cannot see themes correctlyHotlink protection is disabled on my server. To tell you the truth I’m so frustrated right now I feel like deleting everything and the new mysql database and reinstalling wordpress. This is getting worse. Everytime I try and login now to my wp admin page it will not let me login and I have to do the lost password thing. Sometimes that doesn’t even work. Even though I go in to my settings and change the password to what it Should Normally be, I can never log back in. 🙁

In reply to: Cannot see themes correctlyO.K. so I tried the permissions change and that didn’t work. So I changed the permissions back to 755 and now I’m getting a new error. This happened when I changed the permissions on those 2 directories to 777 but it still happens even though I’ve changed the permissions back to the original 755.
The error I’m getting is when I’m in the design/themes mode in the wp admin whenever I click on any of the 4 themes I have, wp only previews the default blue wp theme.*sigh my plot/prob thickens.. :/

In reply to: Cannot see themes correctlyWeird, I’ll try that but another wp site that I do have working just has those 2 directories you mentioned with permissions set as “UNIX equivalent 755”.

In reply to: How to change the blog url from wp filesThanks that fixed it. Now my only problem is wp will not let me login. It does not even recognize the email address I know I used for contact info. I just did the lost password thing using my username but still have not received a email yet 🙁
