To remove the widget from your sidebar:
1. Click on the ‘edit’ button in the ‘Ad: name’ Widget in the ‘Current Widgets’ column.
2. Click on the ‘remove’ button in the widget. The widget should disappear from the ‘Current Widgets’ column. If this is not the functionality, please let me know:
1. Version of WordPress
2. Version of Advertising ManagerAnd I can try to help you further.

Using your FTP client (filezilla) should be fine to delete files. You may need to talk to your web host in case it is a permissions issue.
The existing version of Advertising Manager should not crash your site – all of the existing (known) bugs have been squashed. If you are using 3.3.15 or above, please let me know what steps you took to install Advertising Manager, in case there is a new bug I do not know about.

In reply to: [advertising-manager] only partially workingjacco:
Thanks for the detailed description. If you want to include an ad in the text of a post, you need the syntax:
[ad#name] where ‘name’ is the NAME of the ad, not the ID of the ad. The reason for this is that if you want to rotate ads, you can have more than one ad with the same name.
Let me know if this works, or if you are still having issues.

Are you sure that the ad codes are not being displayed on your page? There are many times that Google Adsense (or any other network for that matter) will serve a ‘blank’ because of some issue (e.g. like if you serve more than three banners on a page).
It would be helpful if you respond with the name of your blog and the area on the page where the ad should appear.

You are correct – anything that keeps WordPress from working is a bug in the plugin (most of the time π ).
I put a patch into 3.3.14 which checks for Adsense Manager, and if it is enabled, it posts a notice to disable and quits.
It sounds like this did not happen for your installation – what version did you use?
The error you are receiving is that Advertising Manager cannot load any of the ad network files for some reason (e.g. all of the files in the advertising-manager/OX/Adnet directory). Did you put any additional files in this directory? Do you have any weird directory permissions?
Per your email to me, it sounds like Advertising Manager was working, and then stopped working. Did something happen with your ISP?
If you could give me as much detail as you can, I am happy to work through it with you.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Broken (upon upgrade)PoojanWagh,
This error is achieved when you have both Adsense Manager and Advertising Manager enabled at the same time. Please disable Adsense Manager and continue.
I suspect that you are not using the latest version of Advertising Manager (3.3.15). Is this the case? If not, let me know.

I think that I see what your error is. I made a new version 3.3.15 which should fix it.
Please let me know how you go.

Thanks for the info – for some reason the upgrade instructions were deleted. I am trying to get them back.
Can you please let me know the following:
1. WordPress version
2. Advertising Manager version
3. specific error (either from your php error log, or at least which file is getting the fatal error on line 203)Thanks

Thanks for your compliments π
For some reason, the wiki that had the documentation lost some pages, including upgrade instructions. I will find a backup and get them back – thanks for the feedback.
Great to know about the Publisher ID. Is this a problem for you? The reasoning that I had is that if you store the Publisher ID, you can rotate different publisher ids so that you can share revenue with others (e.g. with other authors).
adsensem_ad(name) works as it did before, as well as advman_ad(name). You can also add ads as a widget, without editing the template.
