  • Am having the same problem. Had to manually delete “Advertising Manager”. Looking forward to the next release and hope that would solve the problems.

slysoft: is there a specific error message? Can you go to your PHP error log and post the error?

    Many thanks,
    Scott

    I had the same thing.

Something about a invalid call to get_adsense… I think it was because adsense-manager was still active when i did the upgrade.

    How I fixed it:
    – Deleted the advertising-manager directory via ftp so the plugin deactivated (i could not get my site to load at all)
    – Reupload the advertising-manager files
    – DEACTIVATED adsense-manager
    – Activated advertising-manager

If the reason it is breaking is due to adsense-manager being activated. advertising-manager should check for the plugin being deactive before proceeding with the install.

Might I also recommend adding the upgrade instructions to the readme file directly instead of linking to a page.

    AccessWinnipeg:

Thanks for the email. I am rolling a version which will prohibit an upgrade until Adsense Manager is deactivated.

    Cheers,
    Scott

I have downloaded again, and reinstalled.
    Not any error this time.

i have lost all my ads in articles from entire blog (over 27000)

slysoft: Can you explain the issue? I think that there is a configuration issue rather than data loss.

    Scott

I have deactivated adsense manager, but am still getting the fatal error on line 203.

btw, the upgrade instructions page is blank: http://code.openx.org/wiki/advertising-manager/Upgrading_Instructions

    oberazzi –

Thanks for the info – for some reason the upgrade instructions were deleted. I am trying to get them back.

Can you please let me know the following:
    1. WordPress version
    2. Advertising Manager version
    3. specific error (either from your php error log, or at least which file is getting the fatal error on line 203)

    Thanks
    Scott

    Hi,

I can’t delete the advertising manager files from my site when I am trying to do this — in filezilla ftp. I’ve tried deleting a million times and they just pop right back up again.

The plugin totally crashed my entire site. I can’t even log in to it via the wordpress admin page.

    🙁

Help — how do I delete these files?

    Lauren

    pixielauren:

Using your FTP client (filezilla) should be fine to delete files. You may need to talk to your web host in case it is a permissions issue.

The existing version of Advertising Manager should not crash your site – all of the existing (known) bugs have been squashed. If you are using 3.3.15 or above, please let me know what steps you took to install Advertising Manager, in case there is a new bug I do not know about.

    Cheers,
    Scott
