I used webcomic. It works pretty well. 😉
Well, it wasn’t the permalinks. So since there is no solution I can find through googling, and no support from the developers, I had to abandon using Nextgen.
I tried [album id=1 template=compact] and all the possible template options. No galleries show up.
I also could not get the imageviewer to work, no matter what I tried.
I gave up and am using a different system.
One thing I did notice about Nextgen Gallery while trying to solve this problem is that the current developers of the plugin do not respond to support threads or emails, to myself nor to many of the people on these forums, even when multiple people are having the same problem.
I know people have lives and jobs that keep them from responding in a timely manner, but NO response is pretty crappy.
Mike, I do appreciate your posting and trying to help.
Nope. It is set to show all events, 2 back, 3 forward.
I was hoping to isolate the code for the widget to see if something in there is causing it; do you advise I should do that?
No. It is a one day event. There are events in the upcoming week which are not showing.
Hi Joe, I’m having the same issue. Mine is set to show “events” and not “days,” but it is still only showing one event at a time.
I have all the latest versions of everything (wordpress and the plugin) as of 2/9/12. Let me know if you have any ideas.

In reply to: Another novice that can’t install wordpressHmmm.
I recommend erasing everything, all the files, and deleting the database you created.
Then, re-download WordPress, create a new database, and try to re-do the whole thing. Who knows? The file may have been corrupted in download.
Start from scratch – this will give you a better idea if it is you, your server, or the software.
Let us know – I am curious and will help if i can.

In reply to: Post editing issues on WordPress 2.8.x and aboveThis was happening with me in 2.8.5 just a week ago. I was hoping the upgrade to 2.8.6 would help – but no. Cannot edit pages or create new pages. Doesn’t work in Firefox, or with all plugins deactivated, or default theme.
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot access widgets – permissions error after upgrade to 2.8.3I am having a similar issue. Just created a clean install on 2.84 and I get :
Call to undefined function wp_list_widgets() in /home/****/public_html/test/wp-admin/widgets.php on line 343
Now, I tried finding the call function in wp-admin/themes.php that you’re talking about and changing it, but I can’t for the life of me find that line. I can’t seem to find anything with ‘widgets’ in it in themes.php. Do you know what line it is on?
I don’t have 343 lines in the themes.php file so perhaps my issue is different.

In reply to: Themes not showing in presentation panelI had this isse: I fixed it by checking where my host had installed the wordpress program. It had placed TWO installations in my folders: one in HOME and one in HOME/public_html.
Only the installation in public_html/ is accurate and THAT is where you need to be uploading the files under public_html/wp-content/themes/
if you put them in wp-content/themes without making sure you are in public_html, you will have this problem.
Make sure that you are in the RIGHT directory (trust me, go make sure) Make sure your files are not nested, and make sure they are at 755, and you will see them.
This is a danger, apparently, of having your host install WordPress for you. beware the double install and don’t let it screw you up.

In reply to: themes does not appear at localhostHaving the same issue; all theme folders are set to 755 permissions, yet I can’t see them in WordPress as available themes. Help! Using 2.6 and only classic and default themes appear.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: New Themes are not availableI am having the same issue. Just downloaded 2.6, and only the default and classic themes are available. I FTP’d several new 2.6 compatible themes into the themes folder in the appropriate area, and now I cannot see them.
all folders in THEMES are chmodded to 755. They do not appear in WordPress as available themes, however.
