Its because those are href’s not just images.
You have Ignore Linked Images enabled in your Image Sharer settings.
You should be able to add a Margin fix. We have resolved this for a lot of our customers by giving them a quick margin adjustment to most websites.
If you submit a ticket through our help center i can take a look and see if I can help you fix the issue.
Hey Neustorres,
Unfortunately there’s no way for me to do that for you. I’d advise contacting the theme creator and asking if they have this code and how to disable it. Some themes may not have this code exactly but something similar.
You essentially need to go into the scripts and find it. It took us a while ourselves to figure out what scripts cause this issue, This was one that we were able to find.
This is caused by a JavaScript in your theme. It might look something like this:
wp-content/themes/Divi/js/custom.js?ver=2.2
$et_inputs.live(βfocusβ, function(){
if ( $(this).val() = $(this).siblings(‘label’).text() ) $(this).val(“”); }).live(‘blur’, function(){ if ($(this).val() = “”) $(this).val( $(this).siblings(βlabelβ).text() );
});This is breaking and bad scripting. You’d need to remove it or change themes.
Hey djcargo,
Would you mind submitting a ticket so we can troubleshoot and resolve the issue for you?
Much easier to handle when I have a ticket we can assign and report to.
Thanks!
Hey djcargo,
When you say you want it to show under the text.. do you mean you want to show it at the bottom of the article?
Are the “bottom left of article” “bottom center of article” “bottom right of article” not working for you?
If you want to submit a ticket to our help desk we can look into your issue. We may not follow up here as quick.
Hey Guys,
Sorry about the previous response. TYPO!
its rel=”noshare”
<img src=”image.jpg” rel=”noshare”>
Again, super sorry about the previous typo.
Hey janPaul999,
Sorry you don’t agree with this decision, Likes aren’t Shares, that’s how we see it. We have very little demand to make, which may seem little, but is a very big change to our Share App.
Maybe in time more people will feel the way you do and bring it to our attention.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Ben Meredith,
I feel you, I do. This is not a new conversation for us. Some people just have a very adverse reaction to the tab. We understand.
Unless your users are actively clicking on the blue sliver of the blue tab, its not going to interrupt your user experience. They never see the panel the way you do as you’re logged in.
You can also move it into any of the 4 corners. I think the more likely case is, you know what it is, you think it’s a huge eyesore. We have blue tab visible on some seriously high volume websites:
http://conversionxl.com/ – 2M viewers a month
http://fourhourworkweek.com/blog/ – 5.2M viewers a month
http://supercurioso.com/ – 2.6M viewers a month
http://www.kaylaitsines.com.au/ – 600k viewers a month
http://clashdaily.com/ – 1.7M viewers a monthThose are just a few.
Run Heatmaps. I think you’d be happy to see people don’t really interact with it.
We offer hidden badge and priority email support with any of our Pro purchases. Maybe one of our free apps will evolve into such an amazing value paid app that you wont feel that way.
We have no intention to or desire to alienate or disenfranchise our free users. We’re going to keep making awesome free apps. We’re going to keep trying to create value for the little guy, and then along the way we’re gonna keep making that value grow.
Thanks for your honest feedback and support.
Hey mmurthy,
If you email into our support I can take a look at your site to see why “pages containing an article” isn’t working. Otherwise unless you can define a shared variable by those pages to be able to use Display Rules, no.
Hey Etherealmind,
SumoMe offers an insane amount of value for free. Just our free tools alone can make a big difference in your subscriptions and social presence.
We’re developing more and more Pro features daily which we feel definitely justifies the pricing, a lot of the pro features are for enterprise level users who NEED those features to function and benefit greatly from them. We work closely with them to try to bring those features for our paying audience.
Definitely appreciate your feedback and maybe in the near future we’ll have a price point you will feel comfortable with or you will see the value in our Pro Pricing as we work really hard to define that value.
Hey retro-grrl,
Sorry to hear about that. If you are having issues creating a SumoMe login you can email support@sumome.com. We accept Direct Emails for those who need installation help. Make sure you include your website URL and include “Install Help” in your subject line.
Hey Ben Meredith,
I responded to your post on the same subject. Happy to repaste it here too!
Thanks for looking out, appreciate it!
We actually qualify as “Serviceware”. You can see that listed in the plugin guidelines under #6.
“Serviceware” plugins are defined as plugins that merely act as an interface to some external third party service (eg. a video hosting site). Serviceware plugins ARE allowed in the repository, as long as the code in the plugin meets all other conditions. These are allowed even for pay services, as long as the service itself is doing something of substance. Creation of a “service” which does nothing but to provide keys or licenses or anything similar for the plugin, while the plugin does all the actual work, is prohibited. Moving arbitrary code into the service so that it can appear to do some work is also prohibited. This will be handled on a case by case basis and our judgment on any given case is final.
(Point of clarification: A “storefront” is not a “service”. If your plugin merely acts as a front-end to allow its users to purchase product from your systems, then it will not be accepted into the repository.)
the WP plugin doesn’t add “powered by” links, the service does. Hope that clears that up π
Glad you like our product and very happy its increasing your subscribers!

Hey janPaul999,
It was a big discussion, and we decided as long as Facebook separates the data, so will we. The TOTAL count of shares does include all social networks though so we think that’s the compromise.
thanks for the feedback!
