The video type was set to flash while the wordking one was set to windowsmedia
Have changed this and problem is solved.

In reply to: MP4 wont play after publishedI am just using the embed video in the post section of wordpress, and it has worked fine before – I do not think I have a specific plug in for the video – I uploaded it into media and then embed video link in post
