if you use a third party like paypal, your good to go and secure because they have their own encryption.
the plugin only assists to take the customer to the paypal site, so no data should be able to be accessible.

In reply to: Photobucket or own hosting?yes, i think its better to upload to your own site, just keep meduim quality pictures so they arent heavy on the server in terms of loading time – i once made the mistake of uploading very high quality images on a website, and that slowed the speed down, so just keeping good but not high res pictures is good.

And are you sure your using it under the footer border, or over it? as that could be the problem.
yeah and there are plugins that you can remove all branding and keep it to yourself – not sure if that practice is looked down on by the wordpress community, but i think its okay, although ive never done that.

In reply to: Scary!lesson of the day is – dont update right away unless its an urgent security update known to fix a security flaw that many are having.
Most updates can cause problems and i normally do not update unless required, or unless I have made sure everything is backed up and ready to be restored if something goes wrong.

In reply to: Search Engine OptimizationSEO on google is dependent on your website content – sometimes google will make your site disappear from the search engine results unless you type in the whole name of the site – this may be because google is still decieding where you should rank, or because you might have very little content (from my experience).
Try adding more unique content on your website (not copied from other places) and also add videos.
