Regarding my last question, I just read this most useful thread about query_post() template tags. Leaves my other questions about categories open.

I can’t actualy get the comments box to appear in a popup. Not that I wanted too though…

I nevertheless find this an interesting question since, as I said, I’ve never been able to have the comments box appear in a popup.

Actually mostly Prolog, Java and C++. No webstuff in other words. My ASP is not bad as (about a decade ago πŸ™‚ I went through a VB and VBScript phase.
As I wanted a website I needed some css/php basics. But that’s all I know really; the basics!

@nicktoye: You’re site was an inspiration to my design also. I like it a lot. I’m nevertheless not very good at all with graphics and design programs, and I’m too busy to learn. I suppose I’m more of a coder (sounds so boring though :). The icons I have now are downloadable royalty free.

Got it running smoothly. I’ll let you know about any issues I run into and I think you should be aware of πŸ˜‰
    Cheers

Thanks! Other than that I find it a quality plugin! The ease with which I could add a “latest addition to the gallery”-section to my menu is quality!
@anom: I only have the issue with the ‘add_magic_quotes’ function when I’m running WP1.3 (alpha 4). All I needed to do to solve the issue was to comment out the routine from one of the source files of psnGallery (can’t remember which one). In the case of WP1.3, the very same function is included via one of the original WordPress files.
    Regards,

At the moment I have only albums with cid=1, “user gallery”, a special category for user’s own galleries. I’ll give changing the category to a dummy one a try to see if it shows up.
For the plugin coder: maybe it’s worth sorting this little issue out (I’m sure it’s something quite trivial) so that the plugin would be even more useful.

Congratulations – Not just any newpaper either! I like the layout of your site a lot by the way
    Regards

Making pages instead of new posts, i.e. content that isn’t syndicated and that isn’t featured on the front page of the Blog when it’s released. You just link to these pages using the querystring. I use this feature for the “contact” and the “about” pages.

Thanks for your comment. I see your point with those details. Even if people won’t be able to find out about my password, it’s still inviting spam to my mailbox and quite the contrary of what I argue for on the ‘contact’ page. I have replaced the values with dummy ones.
With regards to the light text. I personally feel that it’s more easy on the eye when reading text with a big line-height (200%). I’ll ask other people for their opinion as well though, and see what they say.
I’m secretly hoping for a stable release with the page-feature before January. It’s not that I won’t be able to administer the page at all. But when I’m on holiday that’s not what I want to do all day πŸ˜‰ I’ll be publishing on the blog though, so at least I can keep an eye on it.

    Hi,
After investiagting the available options for adding gallery functionality to WordPress, I opted for Coppermine/psnGallery. All works fine, but on the psnGallery page in the admin area, the alum list does not show up (the headers of the table are displayed however!) This is a bit of a nuisance as it makes it notoriously hard to find the correct album number. Does anyone experience the same problem, and can it be/how can it be solved?
    Regard,
    Sophist

Thanks for your time. I’m quite happy with the result myself. There are a few of the original tags in the wp-layout file for which I haven’t been able to find out what they are for. If you look at the stylesheet (oomens.nl.eu.org/wp-layout.css) and find the tags that have “/* What is this tag for? */” on top (there are 2 or 3), can somebody tell me when these styles are applied?
