I never received it, can you resend? Or just post the URl to your site here and I should be able to see if its working correctly.
I’ll need a URL to your site to check it out, can you post one?
Glad to hear it!
If you’ve created the extended profiles fields that are described in the readme file, you should have them on your profile so you can add the appropriate data. I’m not sure what you’re seeing, so its hard for me to detail any further than that.
If you’d like, you can leave the URL for your site here and email me login info and I’ll take a look: chris at slushman.com
Hey mocmocmk,
Each user will then need to edit their profile and add the appropriate data for the gallery to display.

In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Users > Profile Fields. I would recommend creating a group, like “Profile Widgets” – or something, to house all the custom profile fields in.
Once you have your group, click the Add New Field button and create the fields described in the readme for the plugin. Be sure to name things exactly as they are in the readme, otherwise the plugin won’t be able to find the data it needs to work.

In reply to: [BP Profile Video Widget] Cannot hide fields in profileActually BuddyPress has the ability to hide fields built-in. I’m not sure who that makes a video widget moot though.

You’ll need to create the fields, see the readme for the specifics.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] "no state" display. why?I’m confused now. I’m lookinga t this page:
http://www.anoushkashankar.com/tour/
And I don’t see any “No State” on there. I looked at the feed XML and can’t find anywhere that has “No State”. Even the widget on page:
http://www.anoushkashankar.com/biography/
Seems to have all the correct state information. Where are you seeing this?
I’ll look into doing templates. I probably won’t be able to get to it this week due to scheduling, but I’ll look at how GigPress does it and see if I can do something similar. Thanks for the suggestion!

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] "no state" display. why?I know this sounds silly, but is it “no state” or “No State”. The plugin currently checks for “No State” and doesn’t display anything. However, if the feed data is “no state”, then that will show up.
If you can post a link so I can check myself, that’s fine. The URL for your feed would be helpful too.
The widget has a layout selector in the widget options, so you should be able to use that. If you’d prefer something else thats not one of the included styles, the widget does have separate classes, I’d recommend using the “Inspect Element” menu option in Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to get the names for the specific parts.
Hey Martin,
Is there a space between “artistdatapress” and “feedurl”? It doesn’t look like there is and that would definitely cause a problem.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] shortcode variable? These changes only apply to the latest version 0.52, not version 0.412. You’ll need to update first. π

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] shortcode variable? It’s in the readme, but here’s how:
In the shortcode, put maxhows= followed by the amount you’d like to limit by. For example:[artistdatapress maxshows=7]On that page/post, it will only show 7 of the shows from the feed in your plugin settings. You can also specify another feed (like past shows, or your band’s feed on your website, etc).
[artistdatapress maxshows=7 feedurl=http://whateverfeedurl.com]This will display 7 shows from this alternate feed.
Hey Dan,
For some reason, there was a conflict with my files when I tried to update it earlier and there was a bunch of gibberish added to the files, which is what that error refers to. I’ve cleaned all the mess out (I double checked them all on my development site) and they should be clean now. The latest version is 0.52. Let me know if you’re still getting that error.

In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] shortcode variable?Hey Jon,
I’ve just added another update to remove some gibberish that was added when I tried to update the plugin. The latest version is 0.52. If you’re having issues, try deleting the plugin and download and install it again.
