In reply to: [ArtistDataPress] [Plugin: ArtistDataPress] XML Feed Link Had to Be ChangedHey guys,
Have you tried the latest version to see if it’s working properly now? I modified it to fetch the XML data differently, so it should work for you.

Too right and thanks for the catch. That will be fixed in the next release (coming soon). Great job on the site, by the way!

Hey M,
I’m going to issue an update to the plugin soon that should resolve that – it’s happening in several places in the plugin. Apparently checking for empty doesn’t work, you have to do it a different way.
Watch for the update. π

Hey Alb,
Sorry I never got back with you on this. Yes, it is a setting on your server. If you’re able to edit the PHP config, turn off safe mode. If you’re not able to do that, let me know and I’ll see what I can work up. It looks like there’s another person with this issue too.

Hey JM,
Looks like that has to do with a setting on your server. If you’re able to edit your PHP config, try turing off safe mode. If not, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.

In reply to: [BuddyBar Widget] [Plugin: BuddyBar Widget] Widget not Showing up@peejii – So you help…or am I reading your post incorrectly?
Scratch that, try version .35, better validation included and the problems you described are fixed.
Hey DJ,
Sorry about the error, but thanks for pointing it out! I’ve been hacking away at tonight and found the problems. I’ve uploaded version .341, which should fix the problem you’re seeing (and I fixed another one I noticed while I was working on this one).
Thanks, great looking site, by the way!
SlushmanHey muckypup and ladyroboto,
Sorry for the delay and all the errors. ArtistData’s XML feed does a 301 redirect to a Sonicbids URL now, so the feed URL they give you isn’t actually the URL for the XML feed. When I changed to the .3 version of ADP, I started using cURL to get the XML feed, but didn’t tell cURL to follow any redirects, so it gave errors when using the feed URL ArtistData gives you. I’ve changed that, so it should work now, check out the .33 update.
Thanks for your patience,

SlushmanHey ladyroboto,
I just posted another update 0.31 which fixes the issue with the widget (at least on my test site). Check that out and let me know if you have any more issues.

In reply to: [BuddyBar Widget] [Plugin: BuddyBar Widget] Widget not Showing upI figured as much, just gotta start with the simple stuff.
I was actually having a similar issue recently and I updated the plugin to resolve the issue. Are you using the latest version (should be 0.15)? Also, which versions of WP and BP are you using?

In reply to: [BuddyBar Widget] [Plugin: BuddyBar Widget] Widget not Showing upDo you also have BuddyPress activated?

In reply to: [BuddyPress] Move Widgets into BuddyBarThe BuddyBar should already have all this stuff in it. Which part is not already on the BuddyBar?
Is BuddyPress installed? It will only work on with the BuddyPress extended profile fields.
