In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] [Feature Request] Number of days between blogposts3.1.14 should be fixed now. Sorry about that. It should use the actual dates now, but please let me know if it works for you.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] [Feature Request] Number of days between blogpostsThanks Johannes!
I noticed that too. Like you say, it’s using the time difference between two posts instead of the actual date they’re posted on. I was getting similar readings to you, i.e. not exactly like I was expecting.
The only solution is to ignore the time and just use the difference in the dates. This should be fairly simple to do and I think the results would look better.
Thanks for your feedback, should get this fixed in the next day or so.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] BugsVersion 3.1.11…
Should have fixed the non-integer bug.
Version 3.1.12…
I mistakenly added an experimental feature in the previous release (3.1.11), so I have kept this feature but added an explanation. The Date Range “start date/end date” feature may work for the bar charts but it has not been properly tested for anything else.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] CATEGORIE AND TAG PIES WARNINGThe latest update (3.1.11) should fix the problem. Please let me know. I am not seeing the error myself so I hope I have fixed it for you.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] [Feature Request] Number of days between blogpostsAdded to the main page… I’m not entirely happy with it so it’s a BETA!
It should work on anything over PHP 5.3.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] CATEGORIE AND TAG PIES WARNINGHi,
Sorry the pie charts have stopped working for you. I’ll make a change for the next update (in a few days time) which should hopefully help.
In the meantime… Do the buttons still show under the pie charts? If so, when you click “show data” does the info appear in the pop-up? Are there any strange readings?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] [Feature Request] Number of days between blogpostsAhhh, ok, that’s a good idea. If a new blog has posts on the following days…
Monday
Wednesday
Wednesday
Wednesday
Friday
SaturdayThe gaps would be 2 0 0 2 1. So…
0 day -> 2
1 day -> 1
2 days -> 2Possibly a similar thing for “number of posts per day” too. I can always make it so that graphs can be removed by users if they are not useful (as happens with the author bar chart).
I had a “eureka moment” the other day about how I’m going to do the “date range” page so I can’t wait to add that and make these charts too. Should be soon.
Thanks Johannes! All feedback very much appreciated!

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] Exporting Post Volume StatsHi Laurent,
It’s been a while but I’m working on this right now.
The basic mechanism for the “temporal range” is done. Just making sure the CSV exports and everything works properly once a date range is selected. Once it’s finished and checked I’ll add it to the next update!
I’m also planning to show daily stats for a short period (30 or 60 days, maybe). I think this will be good for all people who post fairly regularly, but especially if you have a large number of authors who probably make a lot of posts.
Re: the number of authors who post and the ones that don’t. I’ll try to add something to the main page. I guess it would have to be a total number. Like X total authors, Y have posted one or more posts and Z have not posted any.
I hope you’re still using the plugin. Would love to hear what you think after the changes are made.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] BugsVersion 3.1.10…
* Line graphs fixed.
* Added the “Date Range” page, which currently gives an alternative way to select years.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] BugsBugs…
* Some of the line graphs don’t have axes.
* The “year” bar chart seems to be working on some blogs but not others. I’m going to figure out why it’s not working and probably add something to the settings page as an alternative so that the year can be changed/reset even if the graph isn’t working properly.EDIT… Changing the zoom on Chrome from 100% to 125% looks like the reason the year bar chart didn’t work.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] Exporting Post Volume StatsHey,
These are all great suggestions. I was very cautious with the CSV download, possibly too cautious. If it works in it’s current form the categories, tags and customs are the next thing to be added. Possibly just from the main page to begin with, like the others. Then, eventually, I’d like to have the line graph export to a CSV too.
Talking about custom taxonomies, I don’t know if you have more than one custom taxonomy, but I’ve just enabled more than one to be viewed at the same time (in version 3.1.07). This means that they all appear on the main page at the same time, and each have their own pages visible at the same time. To enable this just go to settings and the option for “Display All” should now be on the taxonomy dropdown (only if you have more than one custom taxonomy).
Your suggestions are definitely on my “to do” list, the draft/private/public thing would be useful for me too. I hope to get around to them soon.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] Exporting Post Volume StatsApologies, the fix in “3.1.05” stopped the downloads from working so “3.1.06” fixes the issue and they SHOULD work fine now. For me, I sometimes have to clear cache to make sure the latest version is fully loaded but it has been working with different security plugins.

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] Words per Post graph not optimalWow!
I guess the perfect thing in this case would be if it had something like… “3960+ words”. Hmmm. Maybe there’s a better way of making the last one a “XX+” and having a fraction of the highest word counts in there might work.
With your data I like the fact that it shows that one result is so far ahead of all the others, though. If it was “3960+” you’d lose that.
I won’t go crazy on it but it definitely needs tidying up for next time. Thanks again!

In reply to: [Post Volume Stats] Handling custom taxonomyI’m marking this as resolved even though it wasn’t a question, because unresolved questions seem to be fixed to the top.
Seeing as I’m posting… you should be able to have more than one custom at a time with the next update. With the testing I’ve been doing that seems like it would save time.
