In reply to: [WooCommerce] PayPal shipping cost missingHi there, thanks for the response. I have had several orders processed afterwards that didn’t have any problems, but like I said, I kind of want to know why this one didn’t go through properly.
I’ve tried replicating exactly as the order went through. I started from a different computer that had never been on the website, placed the order exactly as they had it, and everything transferred to PayPal correctly.
I then cleared the cache/history and tried again several times, did everything I could to make woocommerce not send the shipping, but each time, woocommerce functioned flawlessly.
I contacted the customer to asked for feedback, specifically the checkout process. She replied the site was working great, showed the shipping charges at the checkout, but when she logged into paypal, the shipping charges were no longer there.
I do remember something peculiar about the payment on paypal. When I went to print the shipping label, on their new updated system, the ship to would not fill in, just sat with a spinning circle. I had to switch to classic mode to print the label.
One other thing that I don’t know if it is related, a few days ago, woocommerce wasn’t receiving the payment notification from PayPal and was cancelling orders. In the woocommerce system status there was an error next to “Remote Get” wpremotepost() failed. PayPal IPN won’t work with your server. Contact your hosting provider. Error: cURL error 35: Unsupported SSL protocol version.
This error was there for a couple hours, then disappeared and all the IPN receipts came in for the orders. My host went through everything, tested the server against paypals tests like the curl tls, everything was working fine. Was completely random.Maybe end of the day, that’s all it was… completely random, just have to keep watch on it to see if his starts happening more frequently. Maybe it is something to do with all the new updates Paypal is doing right now.
There is a free plugin called booster for woocommerce, has an option for packing slip which I believe would do what you’re asking.
I just set a secret answer for everyone in there. Only way any hacker could use it is they’d have to hack my email password whenever someone interac transferred, which I change monthly.I also usually transfer the funds within a few hours, so I consider the risk low. Also, if a hacker did happen to hack into my email, and they knew the secret answer, they would be pretty dumb trying to deposit it into their bank. Cops knocking on their door the next day.
I guess that answers my question. Plugin no longer supported I guess?
Same issue as you. Customers find it a pain to have to change the password each time, and some can’t change it and have to completely add a new recipient each order.
Can set the password to be the same for all orders by changing the instructions sent to the customer. In the settings, in the instructions section, next to secret answer, delete the {2} and replace with whatever password you want.- This reply was modified 9 years, 5 months ago by shepsta. Reason: Update
JLY – Completely different error/notification than the one you are pointing reference to.
Wordfence used 27.64MB of memory for scan. Server peak memory usage was: 62.98MBThis has to be the worst plugin update I’ve seen in a while. I get that its free “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth”, but wow.
I kinda wondered about that, see it now on another site. Too bad there wasn’t a log that explained why wordfence blocked, would save a lot of questions. It blocks almost instantly, within a second.
I possibly figured out what it is. The website is on cloudflare. I have “How does Wordfence get IPs” set to use the Cloudflare CF-Connecting-IP. I leave the admin panel open as I’m working on it and I’m thinking maybe cloudflare is trying to cache the admin section? Only thing that doesn’t support that idea is the user agent changes each time, wouldn’t think cloudflare would have random user agents.
Open to ideas. Thanks

In reply to: Admin popup windows are greyed out.Couldn’t find an option in the default themes to make a popup window, so couldn’t really test.
However I have resolved it, I stayed up late last night, ended up reinstalling wordpress. The admin screen started doing that after the last wordpress auto update,so that was the last thing that could cause the problem.
Unfortunately leaves the puzzle of what was actually wrong, but oh well, its working now, and did the update this morning to 4.2.2 without any issues. So I’m all good to go, only 8 more websites to prepare for update.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Template generated table– how to access and edit?In wordpress, you rarely have to look at the actual php code. Nothing you see on the site is ever generated by hardcoding php.
Its a database driven CMS, main components in the Admin area are the Theme and Plugins.
If you browse around the left menu in Admin, you will probably discover the plugin they used to generate the table.
If you provide the site and page name, sometimes can derive the theme used, and plugin name used for the table from there.Forgot to mention, everything you see on the site is on the “pages” and “posts”.
there is a significant different between wordpress.com and wordpress.org.
Wordpress.org is powered by volunteers, usually a negative attitude won’t get you far.If you paid for services through wordpress.com, you should be addressing your concerns over there.
The theme you are using is a free theme, so there is no developer direct support like you would find with purchased themes.
Now that we got that out of the way, you are vague on uploading your image, and the issue you are having. You need to explain in better detail exactly what you are trying to do, how you are doing it and errors you are seeing.
This will allow the volunteers more ability to diagnose what the issue you may be having.
