I realized the issue is that people that don’t have a WordPress account can’t comment. I was able to comment when I was logged into my account, but when I went in on a different computer, it wasn’t possible. The comment never showed up even after I checked the comment area in WordPress dashboard. Have you ever heard of anything like this happening before? In settings, it isn’t checked that people need to have an account, but that’s the way the problem is presenting itself.

Thank you so much @rodgersnigel. Did you get redirected to a blank page or all went well for you and you didn’t get redirected to a blank page after trying to post the comment? Thank you for your help! I will change the settings to approve comments also.
