I managed to post a comment. You may want to look at your comment settings in wp-admin under Settings > Discussion. Change the setting so that only comments you approve are visible to public to avoid spam. You can go one step further and install Anti Spam Bee or Akismet Anti Spam plugin

I wasn’t redirected, and the page reloaded with my comment posted. I didn’t have any challenges whatsoever.

I realized the issue is that people that don’t have a WordPress account can’t comment. I was able to comment when I was logged into my account, but when I went in on a different computer, it wasn’t possible. The comment never showed up even after I checked the comment area in WordPress dashboard. Have you ever heard of anything like this happening before? In settings, it isn’t checked that people need to have an account, but that’s the way the problem is presenting itself.
I tried to comment again from a browser that’s not logged in to anything and it seemed to work fine. here’s a screenshot of my comment: https://imgur.com/a/lMe7zh6

No worries. I find it odd that it works for some people and not for others. Maybe it’s their browser or something. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I finally wrote my first blog post and when someone went to comment they told me they weren’t able to post their comment. The comments box is shown below the post. They entered their name, email, and comment, but after they clicked submit it took them to a blank page. Then the comment was not recorded. This happened several times. I was able to post a comment myself, but I don’t understand why readers are having this issue. I have the Astra theme and I’ve used a starter site to set up my site. I’m not sure if this could have anything to do with it. Comments are enabled on the blog page, blog post, and in the settings of WordPress discussions (I clicked allow comments on new posts). Do you have any insight into what’s happening? I would really appreciate the help!
