Hello @phatash,
Please, do the following:
- Log in to your Hosting Account.
- Locate the folder of your website.
- Delete the plugin folder “cleantalk-spam-protect” here:
• WORDPRESS_ROOT_FOLDER/wp-content/plugins/cleantalk-spam-protect
After that the plugin will be disabled completely.
Did it help?
Hello @clgm,
Please, re-activate the CleanTalk Anti-Spam Plugin in a special way:
- First, copy your Access Key from the plugin settings: WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk
- WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → enable the option “Complete Deactivation” → Save Changes.
- WordPress Admin Page → Plugins → Installed plugins → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Deactivate and Activate again
- Paste your Access Key back and save the plugin settings.
Then clear your website cache. Make sure that the website cache is 24 hours or less.
It should fix the issue. Did it help you?

Yes, please, keep marking any website request as “Spam/Not Spam” if the CleanTalk Cloud made the wrong decision. It helps us a lot to adjust the filters.

In reply to: [Spam protection, Honeypot, Anti-Spam by CleanTalk] customers being blockedHello @archerstrategy,
Please, mark records in your Anti-Spam Log if our service made the wrong decision:
• Your Anti-Spam Log [ https://cleantalk.org/my/show_requests ] → choose your website in the drop-down menu → there are buttons “Spam” and “Not Spam” under every record → mark records using these buttons.The guide is here:
https://cleantalk.org/help/feedback-spamWe will analyze them and adjust the filters accordingly.
I see that the private ticket #50161 is resolved now, so I’m marking this topic as “resolved” too.
The solution was the following:
1. WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings →
→ set the “Set cookies” option to “Auto”;
→ set the “Use Anti-Spam by CleanTalk JavaScript library” option to “On”;
→ Save Changes.
2. Set the cache update time on the site to no more than 24 hours (it’s important).
3. Clear all the cache on your website.If you have any further questions, you can start a new topic anytime.
