The hierarchy is specified using WordPress’ own menu editor, and not the settings page of our plugin. Much like when you create regular WordPress submenus.
Please let us know if you still need help with this.

This message could be due to your server timing out or giving any other warnings, and should not affect anything as long as the plugin is currently working properly. Also, you should not see this message again if you deactivate and reactivate the plugin.

It seems that there is another plugin that’s conflicting with ours. Would you please try disabling all other plugins and try again. Also, what theme are you using?

Yes, you can completely hide the ‘Notifications’ tab in the Pro version. Since we still can’t replicate your bug however, we can’t confirm for sure that this will 100% work for you.

We have both BP 2.1 and the latest WordPress 4.0 installed, and everything seems to be working great. What WordPress version are you using? Also, have you tried disabling all other plugins to see if there are any conflicts happening here?
