In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Caching differences between sitesWhen I looked further at the test results there is a report about the browser caching “Leverage browser caching for the following cacheable resources”. Then there’s a long list of css and js files and each says “(expiration not specified)”. I don’t know what that means. In the plugins “Expiry Time & Garbage Collection” the timing settings are selected and that’s all that I can think of to do.
I’m having this problem to. I tried setting the Content Position of the section to middle. The padding is zero yet there is still extra space at the end of the text. The extra space is about the height of a line or two. Is there anything else to do to eliminate the extra space?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Favorites] Still supported?Tim, I tried contacting the author in a variety of ways to find out status but got no response. I finally decided to delete the plugin even though it was providing some useful capabilities that I could not find elsewhere. But it also had some problems which seemed like they will never be addressed.

In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache - WordPress Cache Plugin] Other plugin deactivatedThe plugin is “Forget About Shortcode Buttons”.
Hi Hal, have you made any progress on this? I installed the current version today and am having the problem reported here. Otherwise, nice plugin and I appreciate your volunteer effort. I’m glad I finally found it after an exhaustive search and am looking forward to using out as soon as this problem is resolved.

In reply to: [Favorites] Cookie expire time only set 1 hour in the future?Rudd, thanks for your reply. I’ll look into the filters but after reading the link you provided I fear that creating one will be above my skill level.
I’m trying to contact the developer to see what he has in mind. In case he reads this I’d like him to encourage him and let him know that this plugin has great potential including enhancements that I think would justify spending $ on a pro version.

In reply to: [Favorites] Cookie expire time only set 1 hour in the future?Hello Rudd, I am having the expire time problem that you asked about and was hoping that you see this and you might give me some advice. The author does not seem to be supporting this plugin anymore which is frustrating because after a lot of searching I found it and it does just what I’m looking for. Do you mind telling me–
1. As a non-programer is there a way that I can fix the expiration time problem? Ideally, I would want there to be no expiration time.
2. If the plugin is not support any longer would it be unadvisable to us it even if the expiration problem can be fixed?
3. Do you know of a plugin that offers comparable functionality that is supported? I’ve looked and can’t find anything.
Thanks for your input on this.

In reply to: [Anti-Malware Security and Brute-Force Firewall] Scan timeHi Eli,
It looks like the quick scan is still running according to the message below. Should I just ignore that message and start another scan to see if it completes? What do you recommend?
Last Quick Scan started 23 hours ago and has not finish
I think I resolved the issue with the help of the Plugin Organizer plugin. With it I was able to change the order of loading of the the two conflicting plugins and Email Subscriber worked.
I have more information about the issue. If I set the category to uncategorized it works. I’m thinking the problem is related to how the posts are created. I use a form plugin that submits a post with a category name when the user completes the form. The post is then created with that name. If the email plugin is somehow triggered BEFORE the post is actually created and before the category ID is stored then that could explain what I’m seeing. Is there anyway around this?
