It seems like once I click send, javascript does something before it even processes the form like reloading the page, or attempting to do so, and the form does not reach processing. Even if I don’t fill out required fields, the forms will still just be reset and the messages that should give me a warning that the fields aren’t filled do not appear.

@ arconsuting, sorry but that is a different issue than the one this thread was intended for.

@ktulu22, mine do the exact same thing on mobile and every other browser I’ve tested, different 🙁

@jason hendricks, ifyouwillit, buzztone, thank you for your continued help!

@jason hendricks, if you see my first few posts, you will see that I’ve already deactivate all other plugins and gone to default theme 🙁 It seems like the culprit plugin does not “undo” the damage upon just deactivation or deletion. Something is left behind, the question is how to find that conflict?

To follow up on the e-mail suggestions. I tried sending mail with SMTP but google denied access. I am now updating the SPF but it sais 48 hours is expected for changes to propagate. Currently, Check e-mail is able to send e-mails using the following settings, as well as ninjaforms via ajax.

    Check Email
    Current mail settings
    SendMail path (UNIX):
    SMTP server (Windows): relay-hosting.secureserver.net
    SMTP port (Windows): 25
    Add X header: 1
    Send a test email
    Send test email to:
    Use standard headers
    MIME-Version: 1.0
    From: testemail@scienceeast.nb.ca
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=”UTF-8″
    Use custom headers

Here is a test page I opened to the public:

I tried removing e-mails from being sent from my CF7 form and it still does not work. I really do not think this thread should be about e-mails right now, because check-e-mail works fine.

Does anyone know how to use firebug well, cause I have been trying to learn but it’s a huge timesink and I cannot afford to do that on work hours. Family life makes it painfully slow to learn. I was hoping to debug javascript conflicts.

    Right now:
CF7 : spinning arrows of death

    Ninja forms (via ajax): success

    Ninja forms (normal): nothing

    Formidable Forms: nothing

Thank you for the help guys. I will try these solutions and keep you updated of how my website reacts to those changes. In the meantime, I should just add that I am also susceptible to the spinning arrow of death on CF7. Perhaps these 2 issues are related.

Lastly, does the AJAX thing on ninja forms give us any insight here (previous post)?

    Additional info:

I installed and tried out ninja forms and formidable forms and both forms do the same thing as CF7 so I can say with some confidence that this is not a CF7 problem.

The only way I got any of my forms to submit was with an available option in ninja form that reads: “submit via AJAX (without page reload)?”. When I clicked this on, my form actually sent a submission to ninja forms. In addition, I set it up so that e-mails would be sent, and e-mails have been sent.

E-mails can be sent and I really think this is a Jquery/javascript/ajax thing (and I get all of those confused but…) What a mess, could really use a pro here to help figure this out.

Here are my settings for MX (Mail exchanger)

    5 records ( 0 selected)

    priority Points to
    20 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
    30 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
    10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
    40 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
    50 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM

Not sure if that means I am local or remote, and how to change it.
Also, I tried a plugin which sends e-mail from our website and it worked. So e-mails can work, maybe I am just not meeting those conditions in CF7.

    Hi Mendel,

Thank you for getting back to me. As I posted though I am with godaddy windows, which means I am running plesk rather than cPanel. I will look for something similar though, but not overly familiar with either plesk or cPanel. I’ll keep you posted.

    Hi mendel,

I did e-mail you 5 days ago but have received no information from you yet. I Hope your offer still stands. I e-mailed you again today. I am hoping this is not just godaddy trying to look good 🙂 Cheers!

Thank you for your help everyone. Sadly this issue still is not resolved. I would love to continue trouble-shooting this problem as I am aware it has happened to many before me and it is still happening to others after me. I have a lot invested in CF7 and will continue to do so if we can fix this issue.

I just added another plugin called “check e-mail” which sends a test e-mail. That worked fine, so I don’t think it’s an e-mail related issue. This is a catastrophic failure of the plugin. Not saying that it’s the plugin’s fault, I have no idea what part of the whole machine isn’t working, but it leads to my whole website working minus CF7.

I want to contact my host (godaddy) but have no idea what to say to them… listen, my whole website is working beautifully minus one plugin. I have no idea why. Can you fix it? Doesn’t seem fair to them.

I feel like I need something to bring to the table to help them out.

I deactivated all plugins and went back to twenty-fifteen. I then erased browsing history. Still the same situation 🙁 How could this be possible?

Good idea, I’ll try later tonight when traffic is down. Any other ideas are welcome in the meantime!
