I would also be interested to know the answer to this problem!
@craiggilman did you find an answer for enabling the chatbot only on specific pages of your site?
i tried again and it worked ok…maybe a glitch
however i have found a problem – we are using My Calendar to populate two separate calendars – one with support group events and one with fundraising events. Therefore I need the former to redirect to the support groups page (as is happening successfully) but with the fundraising events redirected to a separate page. Is it is possible to edit the urls in this way for different categories of events?
e.g. /mc-events/support/ and /mc-events/fundraising/
Thanks
it works! thanks for your help
Thanks Joe. I have unchecked that setting.
RE redirection: I am not comfortable with .htaccess or PHP. However I have installed a more advanced redirect plugin (Redirections) which looks like could be capable of helping out. If I redirect ^/mc-events/.* to https://www.sarcoidosisuk.org/support/support-groups/, will that work?
Hi Joe,
Any help on this one?
Thanks,
JackHi Joe, Many thanks for your help.
That sounds like a good option. Please can you give me a brief run-through of how to 1) disable search friendly permalinks for My Calendar and 2) set up a redirect that points all links with the ‘mc_id’ parameter set to the main calendar page.
I have looked at the permalinks settings and my QuickRedirects plugin settings and don’t see the immediate answer. Also anxious to edit permalinks safely, considering I (clearly) don’t know what I’m doing!
Thanks again
Hi Joe, Thanks for your reply.
Correct – I only want the support groups page (https://www.sarcoidosisuk.org/support/support-groups/) and do not want any individual events pages to exist, or at least be visible to public. This is because my event listings contain external links to Eventbrite for more details/tickets etc. I want to avoid a user googling ‘sarcoidosis support group northampton’ and finding this page: https://www.sarcoidosisuk.org/mc-events/northampton-support-group/ instead of the Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sarcoidosisuk-northampton-support-group-tickets-39511092742
I hope that clears it up a bit.
Jack
