Unfortunately, DUD requires that the “Last Name” field start with a letter. This is necessary for the alphabet letter links to work properly. Hope you’re able to work around in on your site!

So sorry for the delay! At minimum, the DUD plugin expects there to be existing user profiles created on the site with the “Last Name” profile field populated.

In reply to: [Dynamic User Directory] Multi-line custom field displaying as single lineThanks technoid28, I received your email. For those reading this thread, the control character is a line break (\n), and fortunately this issue is easily fixed.
In the next DUD update I’ll include a new “multi-line” meta field format option that will translate line breaks into HTML so that it displays as expected.

I appreciate the feedback and can sympathize with your problem. I do plan to add the ability to exclude BuddyPress pending users in the future, as well as the ability to exclude users based on a meta field setting.
However, it will be several months before I can implement this functionality due to other DUD updates in testing phase that are slated for release soon.
But you are welcome to email me directly if you’d like a customization that can handle your specific setup.

Sorry for the delay! I’ve had a few higher priority items on my to-do list, including a new pagination feature coming out soon and a new Sort Field add-on to be released in September.
I do plan to offer a grid layout but it will probably be the end of this year or early next year before I can get to it.

You’ll first need to create the desired social media input fields on your WordPress registration page. You can do this using your preferred membership or contact form plugin (such as User Registration or BuddyPress, for example).
The meta keys for these fields should show up in the Meta Key Names listbox on the DUD settings page. You can then copy and paste those key names into the appropriate input fields under the “Social Media Fields” section of the settings page. The icons will then be shown in the directory.
