Yes, you can use smooth slider to add your events as a slides. Smooth slider has option to specify that who will be able to add post/events into slider. Using option “Minimum User Level to add Post to the Slider” you can allow to members to add post/events into slider.

There are many scenarios for Internal Server Error. But specific to Documentor, please check if you are adding a shortcode in page or post which is already added in the documentation of Documentor then Internal server error may occur. Sometimes this error can happen if you are exhausting your PHP memory limit.

In the premium version of Documentor using option “Load sections using AJAX” you can show each post as a separate page or show all at once. But if you are pointing the requirement of opening sections in their individual pages, that feature is currently not there in the plugin.
