In reply to: Posts don’t show up on homepageThanks but the thing is that it’s the first time that I hear about incapsula. They are not my host (hostgator is) nor do they have anything to do with the security provided to my website (sitelock). And I can’t even ask them any questions as one needs to have an account registered with them, which is only possible if you are one of their subscribers.
Would you know of a wordpress plugin which I could install to resolve the issue?
Thanks a lot for your help.

In reply to: Posts don’t show up on homepageOk thank you very much. And so to you, it has nothing to do with the new wordpress update 4.7. and a potential incompatibility with theme Twenty-Eleven?

In reply to: Posts don’t show up on homepageThank you very much. Here is the link to the article I posted yesterday and which should have appeared on the home page: http://ilawyerblog.com/myanmar-un-report-condemns-human-rights-violations-muslim-minority/
and here is the link to the home page: http://ilawyerblog.com/
Does that help?
Many thanks.

In reply to: WordPress 4.1 – Twenty Fifteen v Twenty ElevenThanks you very much. I will analyze all this.
I will also ask the IT guys who customised the theme to check if they used child themes. But so, if they tell me that they used child themes, it means that I can go ahead and proceed to the wordpress update then, is that correct?

In reply to: WordPress 4.1 – Twenty Fifteen v Twenty ElevenThanks a lot. What would I need to do to make a copy of the site?

In reply to: WordPress 4.1 – Twenty Fifteen v Twenty ElevenThank you. I’ve backed up everything indeed and I will try to do the manual updates.
I’m currently not using the latest version of Twenty Eleven.
1. Should I update Twenty Eleven before or after upgrading my wordpress versions?
2. Will the update of my Twenty Eleven entail that I’ll lose all the customisations of the theme (which were actually done by professionals)?
3. So you believe that a straight jump from 3.8.5 to 4.1 will for sure create problems?
Thanks a lot.

In reply to: First WordPress UpgradeMaybe one last question:
A few weeks ago, my wordpress kept on logging me out.
Do you believe that this might be due to the fact that my wordpress version is not the latest one? Or not espcially. The issue stopped after a couple days.
Thanks a lot.

In reply to: First WordPress UpgradeThank you very much.
A more general question to finish: how often is it required to upgrade the version of wordpress I’m using?
I understand that the main issue with not upgrading is a security issue. Are there any other issues/misfunctions which might arise if wordpress is not updated often enough?

In reply to: First WordPress UpgradeI’ve checked with my host and they tell me that the back up comprises everything, including the databases.
I’ve a cPanel there and the backup is saved on my home directory.Does that sound good then?
Moreover, should I deactivate my plugins before proceeding to the wordpress upgrade?
Thanks a lot.

In reply to: First WordPress UpgradeThank you.
I’ve all my files backed up on hostgator.
For the upgrade, so I should simply click on the link that’s offered to me on top of my dashboard and everything should be done automatically, is that correct?
Thanks a lot.

In reply to: Plugin UpdateThank you.
Indeed, I’m definitely willing to update my wordpress version. However, I haven’t done so because of the problems that may arise after the update – from what I can read, some files might be lost, there might be incompatibilities with some plugins, the design of the website might be lost, etc.
What’s your opinion on that?
I do regular backups of my website.
