I renamed the theme, then reset the theme in the admin to twentyten, then did another upgrade, and the message was gone. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I tried it but it didn’t help. I’m going to update manually. Hopefully that will solve this problem for the future.
When I upgrade lightbox to 2.01 or 2.02, it doesn’t work anymore. I use WP 2.6.2. Is this a WP issue, or NextGen?
This doesn’t seem to work with 2.6.2. I get a blank screen.
