In reply to: API key and website nameForget your site!
Read carefully once again what I wrote. You don’t need the wordpress.com support.
You need to sign up at wordpress.com for an account. It says you are signing up for a free blog but later it gives you the option to select “only API key, no blog”.Do it.
The email will NOT, repeat, will not contain your API key. It will have your password to login to whatever.wordpress.com… where “whatever” is the username you choose during the signup.
What is so complicated in this? Then login. NOT TO YOUR cPanel, not to your hosted blog – but to your newly created wordpress.com.
Get the API key and copy it.
Go back to your blog at http://promotingaffiliateprograms.com , login and paste the API key where it asks for it.Don’t post until you followed all the instructions above 🙂

In reply to: WordPress Theme Help?Yes, I have seen it, although the children usually show up as a second line, below… or in a drop-down menu… or appear on the sidebar only when on the parent Page…
It has been asked many times:

In reply to: Making permalink pages like the homepage? There are hundreds of themes that have sidebar on the single post view, too. Why do you need to re-invent the wheel?

In reply to: WordPress Theme Help?Oh, that would only exclude them from showing up on the top menu… if you had a normal theme. Yours is a different animal, sorry.
For your theme my post above doesn’t apply.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: WordPress Theme Help?If they are children Pages – use the “depth” parameter in the wp_list_pages.

In reply to: API key and website nameThe API key is NOT sent by email. The email tells you only your login info to your wordpress.COM account.
You have to login to your wordpress.COM account and go to your Profile there. Not in your own blog from above!
If I signed up as rudolf.wordpress.com – that’s the address they were asking for.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot get to blogWe suspect we had a hacker on our site
One more reason to talk to your host ASAP. Beside asking them about any eventual upgrade on their end.

In reply to: special charactersJust to clarify: do you have issues with Spanish characters in your content (posts, Pages, comments) or in the template files when you edit them?
If the problem occurs in the files – put the guilt on your editor. It should save the files after editing with utf-8 encoding!

In reply to: WordPress in own directory problemHow?
I could see them nicely in FF and I could add them to my Google Reader.
Not the link you have on your site but the one I posted above.

In reply to: Cannot get to blogPlease, don’t post all around the forum in year old topics that you “have the same problem”. Problems are never the same 🙂
Stick to this topic of yours. What did you do BEFORE this blank page happened? Any new plugins, any modifications to your site?
If you didn’t do anything, did you contact your host to see if they had a hardware or software upgrade?Forum: Fixing WordPress
