  • Thank you so much Blacktar.
    I emailed their support and they said they wouldnt help with anything to do with coding…..no wonder!!

    At least now I can stop spending hours trying to resolve the issue.

    Thanks again

    I’m still learning coding, but getting there slowly, the only thing I’ve got in my funtions.php is:
    <?php
    if ( function_exists(‘register_sidebars’) )
    register_sidebars(2);
    ?>

    can you let me know if there is supposed to be something else in there?

    Thanks

    I gave up trying to get it for a while as I was tearing my hair out 🙁
    I have tried all the above variations and I can still not get it to work.
    I am using WP 2.2,installed the Feed Locations plugin and using Feedburner and neither have sorted the problem.
    When they are activated I can’t get to my feed page from the meta link, once the plugins are deactivated then I can get to feed page

    When I try to validate the feed through Feedburner it comes back with the error:
    This feed does not validate.

    *line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:2:0: xml declaration not at start of external entity [help]

    <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><feed

    In addition, this feed has an issue that may cause problems for some users. We recommend fixing this issue.

    *Feeds should not be served with the “text/html” media type [help]

    and line 2 is: <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><feed

    I will never get a feed going, it is so frustrating.

    I am still using WordPress 2.1 but after installing FeedBurner I got a similar error when trying to validate:

    line 2, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:2:0:
    xml declaration not at start of external entity

    Hopefully both of our problems can be fixed in this post

    Hi again
    I’m glad no has gone to the trouble of replying yet, I have worked it out. I was using “CrossFTP” to upload the files. I just tried the FTP client in my Hosting Manager and it has worked fine 🙂

    Hi I am having the same problem with it saying:
    Broken Themes The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
    Name Description
    Stylesheet is missing.

    I am a novice so I don’t understand some of the jargon, but can normally work most things out by trial and error, I have re-installed them 4 times and still no change…any layman help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks
