I’m having a similar issue even after upgrading to the latest version of the plugin.

I have noticed that pages are not being cleared from the cache although they are being expired. Interestingly when I disable WP Super Cache plugin – the pages displayed on my WP blog are refreshed as they should be.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Will give it a test.

    Hi AskApache,

I can now perform the initial tests OK after downloading 4.6.1. Thanks.

Just one thing now… when trying to create the password file – it comes back with error message:

ERROR: Please make …/public_html/.htpasswda1 writable and readable

Even if I specify location and give it permissions 777 – it still comes back with same error. Ideally I would locate the password file above the docunment root as per your suggestion – but need to resolve the above error first.

    Cheers bro,

    R

    Pheeewww….!!

When will the above fix be released?

    R

    AskApache,

4.6 still ain’t working for me.

I’m happy to provide you with my feedback to assist in improving this plugin as I know of others also experiencing issues since 4.5. It’s a great WP value add and it worked flawlessly for me prior to 4.5.

Where’s the best place/site to give you this feedback?

    R

    Previous versions fine…

4.5.2 failing – turned debug on and here’s 1st lot of error messages telling me that .htaccess files are not allowed. (What ever the issue is its probably causing the other errors further down – which I have not included.

If anyone can help please drop a line…

    4.5.2 just released…

    Lets have a squizz.

    R

4.3.2 and then straight on to 4.5 with 4.5.1 available within 24 hours and then no sign of the author. My theory is that he must have worked non stop and gone without sleep for days – he’s now resting and probably dreaming about WordPress, plugins and all things Apache.

    Mr Apache?

    Pretty please… where are you??

    R

    Hi Mike,

    Regarding those henchmen…

I haven’t seen any black hooded burly looking blokes hanging around my site(s) since as yet.

Perhaps they popped in for a squizz and I totally missed them.

Are you in a position to shed any light?

    R

I have taken the 4.5.1 (not sure where you get the 8/14 from) version for a test upgrade and would recommend to stay clear of it for now. I had issues during the upgrade and have decided to hold back until we hear more from the plugin developer. He must be flat out (or gone on a holiday) because I have not seen any feedback or responses from him since 4.5 and 4.5.1 were released.

It’s a great plugin and I would not live without it – I have a sense that we’ll be seeing a 4.5.2 appear shortly.

    R

    Hi Mike,

    Appreciate the response.

    My domain is: trupela.com

    Thanks,

    Robert

I must have spoken too soon!
The dreaded account suspended messages are back.
They seem to come and go. I feel rather lost without some decent tools to help me diagnose this issue further.
It concerns me greatly that my readers are seeing the ugly “account suspended” message as well.

If anyone reading this is able to guide me towards some good tools thta will help me to resolve this issue – please drop a line.

    Thanks,

    R

I’ve been pulling my hair out over the same issue with exceeding CPU cycles. I’m also a Bluehost customer and have been annoyed by what’s been happening (“your account has been suspended”).

After disabling plugins and widgets and whatever else to try and isolate the cause and not really getting anywhere I had a breakthrough this afternoon.

I logged a support call a few hours ago on this very issue and it was suggested to me that I need to run a repair and an optimize on all my db’s. Using the phpmyadmin tools available through CPanel I did what was suggested and ran the repair and optimise on all my databases.

So far (fingers crossed) and after some testing – this seems to have resolved the issue.

Contrary to what others on this and other forums have mentioned about Bluehost – I have been happy with their product and more importantly their service – the support guys do a top job!

The challenge of running a shared hosting service is a difficult one and in the end the greater the flexibility given to us to customer the greater the need to take responsibility with how we use the shared resource.

One little suggestion to Mike from Bluehost and also the WordPress crew – it would be nice to have access to some decent tools to assist me in diagnosing CPU type issues. There do appear to be some very inefficient plugins and code out there and it would nice if the cause could be nailed down faster rather than going through a process of slow and often futile elimination.

The Bluehost logs are great but we need to know a little more than: CPU cycles were all used up by index.php. I’m hoping that Mike in his post a couple of weeks ago was actually referring to giving us (with time) some additional tools to assist with diagnosis.

Any WordPress or Plugin developers reading my response may also like to comment on the above.

    Ririzarry,

Greatly appreciate the feedback and that’s probably the next thing that I would have tried. But for now I’m going to stick with my current search plugin. Will probably give WPSearch a re-go with a future release.

    Thanks again for your response.

    R

Just to followup on my previous response – I let the build sit there for four hours after which I had to give up.

    Cheers,

    R
