    Michael,

When I say exact same errors – I’m referring to (see previous response)

    –

Deactivated Bad Behaviour and was able to activate plugin OK but when going into “Write Post” to create a test post – edit.php crashed with a similar error message to above.
    – I also noted that with “acronyms” activated the edit post panel was layed out very differently… weird.
    – Have de-activated “Acronyms” and re-activated “Bad Behaviour”.

The errors that come up when BB is deactivated refer to pluggable.php.

Glad to see someone else is experiencing the same issue on using the plugin.

At this stage I feel that I have done enough testing as I strongly suspect something strange in the coding of the plugin. The fact that the same errors occur on an installation with default theme and no plugins would suggest this.

    Hi,

Have tried “Acronyms” on my test blog (WP 2.7 and same theme – K2)…

    – had all plugins deactivated except for “Bad Behaviour” and “Maintenance Mode” plugins… same error.

    – enabled the Default WP theme and deactivated “Bad Behaviour”… exactly the same errors!

I can’t see how the cause of this issue would lie with WP or another plugin.

Something else definitely going on here.

Hopefully we’ll get some feedback from other users.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the prompt response.

    Did the following:

    – checked for whitespace at the beginning of file… looks OK.
    – Deleted and re-installed plugin. On activation… same error.
    – Deactivated Bad Behaviour and was able to activate plugin OK but when going into “Write Post” to create a test post – edit.php crashed with a similar error message to above.
    – I also noted that with “acronyms” activated the edit post panel was layed out very differently… weird.
    – Have de-activated “Acronyms” and re-activated “Bad Behaviour”.

Let’s wait and see what other feedback comes in and see if anyone else has experienced similar issues.

    Cheers,

    R,

    1st impressions… looking great!

Will use it from time to time to clean up Options Table and post any issues/questions as they arise.

    Hi again,

A little more testing and adding the debug code to sitemap-core.php suggests that sometimes Yahoo is being notified and not other times. Interestingly I had never noticed this condition in previous releases of the plugin but then again YAHOO might have change something from there end (eg: like frequency of sitemap submission).

Although it would be nice to know the cause of this intermittent condition it’s also not that big a deal for me that from time to time a sitemap does not quite make it to Yahoo. I would probably be a little more worried if the this issue was happening with Google.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

Recently I have been getting this exact same error.

I’m curious whether anyone has found the reason behind this issue and found a solution.

I will proceed with the “debug” suggestion if I don’t hear back shortly.

    Hi Eric,

There is a plugin called “Snippets” (By John Godley) which does a similar thing. I have tested this plugin on a number of occasions but could never get it to work properly – it either clashed with other plugins or I found it to difficult to use.

Let see what you come up with.

    Eric,

Thanks for getting back to me.

After I logged the previous post I did make my way to your doco and then the K2 wiki at code.google. Makes sense why your plugin is behaving the way it does… it’s doing what it’s meant to do.

Ideally I would like to move all of code I have added to K2 templates out and into your plugin. This is what I envisaged when I 1st saw your plugin appear on the horizon. Now I’m not so sure that this is going to be practical. I have basically just added snippets of code rather than actually modified anything.

With the test I explain in previous post – I have a bunch (essentially function calls to various plugins) of code sitting inside the loop after the content has been displayed – eg: bookmarking, signature, similar posts etc…

If you have a look at a single post on my site you will see what I mean.

I will understand if you don’t wish to modify your Hook plugin any further.

    Cheers bro,

    Eric,

    Thanks mate – good work!

    Note:

    1) Updated plugin
    2) Activated no probs.
    3) Configured K2H with some PHP code in hook “after content”
    4) Ticked the box to exec PHP code.
    5) Saved changes – OK.
    6) Ran blog and php ran OK – except in what appeared the wrong place. This hook must get triggered somewhere after The Loop and not at the point straight after the last of the “content” is displayed within The Loop.

    Any comments?

    Hi,

Happy to get involved in any testing. Unfortunately I’m not a coder so cannot help with that.

I would be a happy chappy if additional data stored in WP.com Stats was available via a set of defined tags. I’m not really interested in Widgets.

The three items I’m keen to see included are:

    – top referrer (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)
    – top search term (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)
    – top clicked external link (over 7 days, 30 days etc…)

If the output from the tags could be tailored that would be really nice.

Let me know via this forum if you decide to take on the challenge!!

    Hi Eric,

    Thanks for your prompt response.

Are you also planning on adding some additional “hooks” to the existing seven?

    Thanks for responding…

The links you have noted explain how to insert a category icon in the Post Title or even within the meta data line. This isn’t quite what I am after. I’m trying to get category icons to display within the body of the post itself – top left hand corner.

    Any ideas?

I have activated and tried running 4.6.5 but fails running the tests (same issues as before). This plugin worked fine for me up until 4.6 was released and have not been able to get it to work since. I understand from reading various forums that this is the case for many a folk.

(So for me… the plugin just sits there in a non active state waiting for the next version to come along. I really had my hopes pinned on 4.6.5 but will have to wait until a 4.6.6 or perhaps even a 4.7.

The concept of AA Password Protect is excellent and when it does work it’s definitely the Roll Royce of WP defence plugins.
